it's in the E.C.L., it also mentions firearms being cased or taken down.....I think you only have to be concerned if your flashlight illuminates a large area. Most headlamps and flashlights only light up a small area. -
from a hunter's point of view, it's probably a more accurate depiction of the average group of guys that hunt together than the shows made up of professional hunters that sit around after the hunt, eat expertly prepared meals and drink from their red cups while acting like choir boys watching video replays of the days hunt and footage from the trail cameras.......that's all after they drive back into their $500,000.00 garage with their badboy buggy after laying the smack down on a mack daddy buck.

They should come up with a system that tell's you're scheduled for jury duty sometime in the next 6-12 month's, and then ask what's good for you.

my comment was in no way intended as a dig towards you, but a comment towards a flawed system that forces people to be inconvenienced to do something they would rather not do.

I wonder how the large ammo manufacturers are set up to produce. Take Remington for example, do they produce all calibers at the same time or do they set up and run a specific caliber or two until they produce a certain amount and then switch over to another caliber? It would also be interesting to know if they've stepped up production or if they're just going about business as usual.

I liked it more than watching those overly obnoxious "pro-hunter's" on a lot of the big production show's, and I would think a non-hunter would find it less offensive and maybe get a better understanding of hunting by watching this type of show compared to the others. As far as the guys being idiots, I think many of us would cringe if a camera crew filmed us for a weekend at deer camp and then we had to sit and watch it replay on tv.

I have no doubt that coyotes take a bigger toll on Turkeys than deer..........and the other ones you mention? all they need is to find a nest and they wipe out the whole batch, and probably can get the hen because the few I've stumbled across on the nest sit tight unless you just about step on them.

only problem with hunting in April is lousy weather.........we got rained out the 1st year we went on the youth hunt and this year it's not looking good either.

I hunted the youth season last year with my son, can say without a doubt there was more activity in April then there was when May rolled around.

a lot of this "enforcement" has been going on for year's, guns have always been taken out of the homes of mentally ill people and domestic situations when the police are called and the situation calls for it. The problem now is that these new laws are screwing every gun owner. -
did you try emailing CVA? I've had pretty good luck with some companies sending small stuff like that free of charge.

you can probably find an interactive tax map online, I know there is one for Delaware County...surprising how much land is owned by people who live outside the State.

yes, both illegal, but the reason behind them are totally different. -
all land is owned by someone, public lands are almost always properly marked..but I know of instances where private owners like to remove public land signs to keep people off......DEC has a very good interactive map.

If you recall, a few years back that same dept was at a home for an incident and one of the residents had a pistol permit and pistols. They had no reason or saw no reason to seize them and didn't..........fast forward, the guy robs a pharmacy and kills 4 people with his licensed, legally owned handgun, the result? million dollar lawsuits against the dept. from all victims families.............damned if you do, damned if you don't.

The other half of the problem is the lawsuits that follow whenever something happens regardless of who's really at fault.........I'm sure that following the Sandyhook tragedy that lawsuits will be filed against the people who sold the guns to the shooters mother regardless of whether or not the sales were legal, the school, the gun manufacturers, you name it.......this country is swamped in frivolous lawsuits and the people who are scared to death of them.

so at what point should it be ok to take someone's guns away? I'm assuming when all was said and done you were able to legally own guns again...not saying what happened to you was right, but if the shoe was on the other foot would you be ok if the other party was really nuts and they were able to retain the means to do you harm?
