  1. Some excellent points...there was a time in the past when , when I would argue aagainst or bitch about the high wages of COs for example. No education requirements , yet high wages.. this is totally unproductive. We should be pushing to raise ourselves up not drag others down..

Something we have lost in most of our businesses is good leadership.. instead of working ones way up to management level while learning what it took to do the job.Management positions are given to our "more educated" inexperienced individuals. Whith no clue how to do the tasks they are managing.

    what's CO's and what's considered high wages?

  2. just setting up blindly and hoping you can call one in from a couple hundred yards away is tough and frustrating at times....if they get with hens in that couple hundred yards it's tough but not impossible....find them with a locator call and get as close as possible, and most importantly, don't give up too early...I've had many hen up right off the bat and stop gobbling, but by 9 or 10 a.m. they are back on the prowl.

  3.   I bought myself a new Rem. 870 one yr. for X-Mas. I  wrapped it & as a joke put a tag with her name on it. When she opened it & saw what it was, that's when the fight started !

Also told her once (as a joke)  "You know this marriage thing is sort of like a hot bath, after you're in it a while it's not so hot !    She lol  at that one.    (45 yrs. & still together I tell her it will never last)

I did the same thing with a Ruger pistol a few years ago....her and the kids got a good laugh out of it. They couldn't figure out what they had bought me when I took the present out from under the tree and started opening it.

  4. well, the article says the guys had permission to hunt there, so that answers that question......but if that's the case they should have known that horses are on the property, a horse is a pretty tall animal, so hard to make a mistake if they were standing, maybe they were bedded? and someone mentioned a backhoe brought in to cover it up, how do you bring a backhoe onto some one else's property and even think you can hide two horses that you killed...ya think the owner would notice? dumb, dumb, dumb.........

  5. Got hold of someone.  No free replacement.  They are offering me a discounted price on a new one since a repair cannot be made.  Reticle Erector Tube is bent if I recall the wording exactly.  I explained that there is no visible scratches, dents or dings and he didn't respond, I told him to send it back and I will be buying a Leupold to avoid problems like this.  He told me to have a nice day and my old scope will be back to me in 7-10 days.  Well now the debate is go with a 2-7x33 or 3-9x40 VX-II like my .308 is wearing.

so they told you the warranty is void because it had to have been damaged by something you did, and not the scope failing on its own from normal use?

  6. Cheap luann doors use interior glues. I don't think they will hold up outside for long. Grow you should get a job on the show Tiny House Nation!

I would assume you would have to seal them from the elements much like you would have to seal the cardboard...........I realize they use interior glue, cardboard isn't made for outdoor all weather applications either, because cardboard is made out of...well, cardboard.....that's why it all needs to be sealed.

  7. No i freakin knew i should have wrote it down. It was on direct Tv under the Drug Inc. show. It was a documentary on mary jane. From way back in like 1900 and before. How grass got started and how it was legal and then not.  Way back when you could order your buzz from Sears and Robuck. lol    Weed sure has came along way from then til now.  Happy Times!

Oh wait..this is about guns. They outlawed machine guns..in the courts...when the drugs started flowing and the cartel were going under ground moving it.

here ya go..........while not exactly what you saw, it's pretty close.

  8. Jotul has a large stove with a side load as well. Non catalytic as well.

35+ years in the industry and I would not own a catalytic stove.

my brother has a jotul.........great stove, I especially like the front doors that open and can be replaced with a grill to give a fireplace effect, and it has a side load as well.
