Getting ready to put my truck on the road tomorow. Guy at our shop is about to do the same and he asked me an odd question i didnt have an answer for. He was wondering if the dmv runs your license when you go to register a vehicle. I told him i was unsure but didnt see the point if they did. To get insurance you gotta give the insurance company your license info so....basically no license no insurance. Am i wrong or? I dont wanna tell him one thing an have it be wrong. Then again its been awhile since i put a car on the road so...i honestly dont remember.

Should i plant them now?

dumb question....how hard to plant and take care of? he dropped off one box thats about 4 pounds, the other is about 3lbs. just wondering if i can try an plant these while out turkey hunting.

just had a customer at the shop give me two boxes of seeds/beans. one says garden beans( hercules), the other says bean wax(goldrush)....will deer eat this?

Hoping to get out a few mornings this week...possibly the weekend too. Just trying to up my odds to bag my 2nd bird. Plan to call sparingly and hit the woods around 9. But wondering if i should setup near a watering hole with hen decoys....

Slowly money is trickling in to my pocket. Luckily i picked up a loan for my truck so thats a good thing. Should be on the road monday! Cant wait to get back into the woods!

From field to wall in one day basically. Took me longer because i had to find a good piece of wood for the mount. No messing with salt or borax or smelly junk. Honestly it really wasnt that hard actually.

Hot glue! Followed some other ideas i found on this site. Work the glue into a rainbow over the feathers if that makes sense.

About this time of the season i call very little.

Some areas seem to have lazy turkeys! Mustve missed the alarm clock!

Saw an read a few posts elsewhere....one foot is holding the shell, the other is giving the bird lol. Fiance says we should do em that way so they are tied up and hopefully they stay that way! Almost perfect since had i walked another 20 feet i wouldve spooked this bird and his buddies haha!

All done! Just gotta figure out if i want to do the feet or not.

Setup near signs of turkeys. Either visually seeing them in fields or where you see tracks,droppings, dusting areas etc....if you are able to figure out where they roost at night and where they go when they flydown...setup in between the two spots. Its been a quiet year, similar to last year. Put enough footwork and scouting into it and hopefully ya flop one!
