Sharpest spurs ive ever shot

Yeah about to take pics of the spurs and beard!

Story....got busted by a hen around 930am. Around 11 i decided to take a walk down an old trolley bed. Got about 200 yards down and stopped to call. Nothing. Went another 50 and something told me to stop. Called again...nothing. called again aggresivley and 2 gobblers went off about 40 yards in front of me. Sat down and continued to call and they kept gobbling. Finally got a glimpse thru the woods and it was 3 long beards! They continued to about 25 yards gobblin the whole way. Finally i think this one spotted me and stopped. Boom! Federal flite control 2 3/4 #6 from my cylinder bore 870 flopped him hard. Thia spot is alway a nine to noon spot. Even for deer lol! Breaks the ice nicely after striking out the last three years!

Zero activity today. Heard one gobble a long ways off...lots of sign though. Must be in these areas after 9am

Agreed. Ive popped the cherry...but its been 3 years since i flopped one. Lookout jakes! I need a turkey sandwich!

Im gettin at them again tomorow. Gonna do a mid morning hunt....9 to 12. Ive had my best luck during that time at one spot so....lets hope it works!

i woulda stayed out but had to come into work...on my day off!

worst part is....i know this spot like the back of my hand. and i also know that ive killed 8 turkeys here, all after 930 am, with no decoys. shouldve listened to my first instinct. oh well it was great to get out in the woods for the sunrise!

heard one lone gobble quite a ways off this morning. heard 2 shot about an hour apart. only fun i had was watching 2 geese go nuts sqwuaking at my hen decoys lol. anyone else enjoy a quiet morning in the woods?
