It's supposed to smell like dirt.. If you were to put a voice sheet and run a load right after the scent killer sheets, you wouldn't even know there was a dirt smell. They work great for me and the wife doesn't complain, if her clothes smelt like dirt trust me she would

I see your logic and where your coming from. I'll look into that site thanks. I personally try and do my part to be as scent free as possible. Like wny stated the, the wind shifts pretty bad here. So I do as much as I can... I know some things one deer tolerate and another deer may not. I pay attention to the wind and come into my bedding set on a west wind but it sometimes swirls and that's where I hope my scent control helps me

I'm not talking about deer coming in to say hello as in come in on your down wind side, stand there and keep it moving. I'm talking come in down wind and continue to literally walk to you and right past you with his nose in the wind and act completly calm. I have and I know if I didn't descent, that never would have played out like that. It you don't descent to the degree as others that's cool. If you did you don't know how your hunts would play out... Wouldn't hurt right?

Did he come in and give you a shot or stand there smelling your oh so lovely human scent and walk off? Did ya kill him?

Key word, some deer will come down wind even if u don't take scent control serious. Not a big mature buck and yes taking scent control serious will have more deer coming down wind. It's funny how the guys who don't take scent control serious or do any of it always try and give a wise a** remark about those who do as if anyone would be crazy to try hard and be scent free. I'll tell you, it's the same damn people always talking to same garbage about scent control, playing the wind and so on. Do you really care of guys use scent products or not? Enough of the BS, if guus don't do what you do, who cares! Gus will find what works best for them not what works for you. And I'm not singleling you out, there are 3 others that do it in evey thread they comment in and it's getting old.

Last year?? How long has that buck been in there? That's no way for a deer to live, to be stuck in a small fenced in area like that regardless if people look out for him or feed him. It's a wild animal... It apparently has no fear for humans and associates them with food. At this point if that deer was removed from dec, they would destroy it probably...

That's extremely upsetting... Can't believe people would stoop so low to do something like that. I mean to steal the head of a deer another guy has hanging on his property is freakin low. Some guys will do anything to get horns, I mean literally anything.

guys always say play the wind BUT i love deer coming down wind of me...

im sure we all have the problem of the dryer having a dryer sheet smell. i use those scent killer fresh earth dryer sheets, i use like 3 of them and boy do they work good...

a simple sangwhich, some sort of protein bars and a water. maybe some choc

i hear ya brother... im headed out tomorrow for maybe an all day sit and i leave friday morning to head up. i cant wait, its just different up there... ill tell you this is the first year in 3 season that i only got 1 shooter on cam on the island, very strange. when i go upstate, its more about hanging with the guys and enjoying some good hunting and plenty of camaraderie. hope you get a chance to get a big one knocked down on the island Pete. was this deer bigger then the one you posted a bit ago?
