  1. My doe fawn yielded 31# . My processor once he stopped breaking my balls , said he’d work his magic . i was happy it broke the 30 barrier !
  2. Blowing like a hurricane ! Who’s dumb idea was this ? Jetsled flipped upside down makes a nice seat a bit elevated as well .
  3. Oddest year ever . 32 years of bow and one or two more of gun on this spot , it was never hard to take deer in either frankly . Opening day of bow I saw 6 bucks in the small bean field ( 14 acre ) after that day I didn’t see much more then 6 bucks total in all of bow and gun ! I had my chance in bow but blew it , my daughter could have had a nice buck in gun , but had technical difficulties with her gun..... I had it in my cross hairs as back up waiting for her shot , but it finally ran off, and my shot at it was off as it screamed across the field . Took my buddy the first Monday and at 7:30 he shot a great buck ,his best , in what he called his greatest hunt ever . Got 30# of that deer and 10# off his Elk so that’s good ! A young doe yielded me 31 more pounds off a drive last weekend of gun. I have never hunted so much, and so late in my life . twice now in late season I’ve watched bucks 11 total come out into that little bean field between 1:30-3:00 hum........
  4. My truck is empty as I don’t leave anything in it as I prefer to have my windows unbroken as it’s parked outside . I dress/undress in the basement including my harness , so the basement looks like this oct-Dec . At some point I’ll wash it and stuff it on these shelves . to think my Dads “ hunting “ clothes also doubled as snow blowing and out side work clothes , and his total “ gear “ was three items , a knife, compass and zippo metal hand warmer .
  5. Correct . Ive got a large bag of 3 inch goose stuff 100 plus .40 including carry loads a box of 25-20 400 plus rounds of .32 auto and no guns that shoot these Im just sitting on it, we’ll see in a couple years where things end up .
  6. That’s the tasting bar downstairs , no tasting now though .... just growler refills . There’s also a blood orange cranberry cream ale that’s pretty good ,I’m getting some for Xmas . As well as a chocolate something scotch ale if that’s your thing .
  7. Just go to the Brew House and get a growler or two . I’ll be there in an hour or two myself . You’re welcome !
  8. I like the one guy without a sling . That’s my style gun In hand at all times .
  9. Ha our daughter is working on the covid unit , and we watched the Bills game at her house . No worries here . Ya I had a ML to, use in “ shotgun “ season as I felt it was a superior weapon , once we went rifle , I got rid of it . I think in 45 years I’ve hunted two days of “ late season “ then with a bow . Although seeing all these bucks just walking around in daylight without a care , I may have to rethink things . Im fairly certain I’m done for the year . I’m not sure if this is the end of this season or the beginning of the next .....
  10. I’m 90% sure if I set up on that side tomorrow I’d have a buck by 3. 6 bucks came out of that corner today and 5 yesterday all between 1:30 and 3 .
  11. If him is me I ain’t got no Xbow bro ! I got one of them guns u load with a stick ! They’re now all bedded in the field it’s close to 300 yards . I come back in this years holiday hunt with a rifle and take them
  12. Just to break my balls two of the bucks bedded in the field !
  13. Shooter and two smaller bucks I’m in wrong corner of this field !!!! three out their now
  14. Oh snap a slammer coyote mist have busted me , never saw him till he ran off ! one would think the Irish Spring and Italian Sub I just ate would attract him, odd.
  15. Im walking around looking for tracks to see if I want to sit here when a young buck and a doe run out . They’re watching their back trail . Edit two bucks ones a little spike
  16. Thanks for the report ,always interesting to hear about other states . Where I hunt it’s probably at least 10-1 crops to woods/ thickets . Some one called my woods, “ the big woods” it’s maybe 30 acres hardwoods and 20 or so thickets . The farm is 3,000 acres .
  17. That’s the correct answer ! Unless I had like 10,000 rounds, then I’d sell maybe 5,000 , selling a few boxes for a few bucks, 1. isn’t worth my time and 2. who knows when I could replace it . One article on ammo manufacturing I read said some weights of some calibers of , are made only every two or three years, the example they gave was 145gr .357 . I believe 125, 180 are most popular and perhaps made more often . Ive got 600 rounds of .32 auto , and my only .32 a Beretta Tomcat has a broken frame ,I’m sitting on the ammo for now .
  18. Here’s what it looked like two hours ago , plus a handful of more obscure and large moose killing type rifle cartridges. Oh and some bird shot .
  19. Thanks for posting that Steve !
  20. My gym costs me $30 month ,and I get to hang out with and talk to hot women in skimpy skin tight “ clothes .” Sometimes I even workout . Last week I was doing DL and this tall gal on the next platform asked if I’d watch her squat and tell her how her form looked .No lie . Her chest was going to far forward and her ass needed to go back more .
  21. Actually it’s like a half a dozen guys who post on this section of the forum who fall into those categories, else where we all get along, meet up, give items to each other ,hunt together . And nobody cares if you’re a commie lib .
  22. Going to be interesting, oldest daughter is currently working on the covid unit ,and many employees are getting it , she says we have to social distance for the Bills game , we’ll see what Xmas brings . Wife and I don’t really care to, much .
