What’s so wrong with this post? He’s a kid that was excited about a certain buck. One he was after so labeled him his buck. He obviously knows he doesn’t own the damn deer. He jokingly put a Satan mask on him. Big deal. I know where you’re coming from buddy. I once shot a nice 9 point and he ran to my buddy 200 yards away and he put him down. I jokingly said o man you shot my buck! It was rightfully his. He put the kill shot on it. My uncle had a trail cam pick of my ten point last year and he hunted him all bow season. I killed it opening day of gun. He said, “I can’t believe you shot my buck. I taught you too well.” Big deal! We always have bucks we label “our buck.” Wether we find their sign first, have the first pics, whatever. Obviously we know anyone can kill it at any time and we don’t “own” the deer. Give me a break.

Between military moving and going out to Arizona for a short time, I had to change licenses and addresses also. You just have to go to the dmv and apply for a NYS license. Won’t have to do a drivers test. But a written exam. They will take your old license. Bring a proof of your ny adress. Piece of mail with your name and adress on it. Believe that should do it. And I’m not positive, but I think you have to be a resident for 6 months before you can get a NY hunting license.

I don't think bans/revoking license forever will do anything. They're poachers. That'd work as well as having a firearms ban in Chicago. I say up the fine to a ridiculous amount. Maybe add a little probation on there.

Anyone know what kind of bird seed he was using?

I saw 13 doe over the weekend. 6 early morning around 730 Saturday. 2 more around 9 Sat, granted they weren't moving much bc they bedded right next to me. 3 Sunday around 930 and 2 around noon. Decided to sit pretty thick cover areas. That's where they were.

5 doe seen today. Just got out of the woods. Last two seen at 1. Must be that second rut is happening elsewhere. Saw 13 doe and zero horns this weekend.

Congrats on the bucks. Saw 6 doe early. Then had two bed at 35 yards for an hour. No horns.

The moon is supposed to be underfoot at 1058. Im somewhat of a believer in the red moon.

Plus one on that. There's no better way to scout a spot then to sit it. Have killed and seen some nice bucks doing that.

I like going to some places blind. Take a climber. Find a good beat down run or some buck sign and sit down wind of it. Might be a bomb spot. Might be a bum spot. You can hunt it and find out right then and there.

I agree but I do think the moon has at least a small push. Like yesterday the moon rose late in the afternoon and I saw deer in fields all over. When I shot my 9 point this year, the moon was overhead at 6:57 am. I shot him in the earlier half of October, at 7:57 using a rattle bag. Might have been a coincidence. Might have been the moon. I have no idea. But it has me thinking.

Full moon this weekend. "Super moon." Supposed to be out all night damn near. Solunar hunting calendar gives it a 4 star for deer activity. Will this be a helping factor or not so much? I know they say it drives them to move if it is overhead or underfoot either way. Any thoughts?

The ten I shot opening morning last year and the nine I shot this year with the bow. Not really into measuring and weighing every deer I shoot. But that nine was a fatty with some good mass throughout. Wider spread and good long main beams. I just know it's a big ol buck, Jack!!
