Hunting hours may never change in our state because its has many laws, taxes etc that don't make sense, many things we have no control over and the people who do have no clue..

That looks like a shot taken broadside that may have taken so time for it to expire, hard to tell the effort put in recovery,from a picture , a bad shot for sure,, unfortunately these things happen while gun and bow hunting and its easy to make assumptions without knowing the circumstances..

My trail cam post of the "Nice 6" is the first daylight deer on my cams in over a week, I have 2 different 8s that are already 2 hours before daylight ... Crazy year for sure with the warm bow season and the seems non existent rut,, I hunted the same properties for 15 plus years most of them and no rubs scapes in the usual year after year spots.. Cant say why just notice something is not the same ..

Thanks guys ... Skipped hunting this AM after taking the doe last night, put up the Christmas tree and went to lunch with the wife had a PM hunt that was uneventful, Im looking for one more doe, then done.. Came back from hunting to a nice dinner with my daughter and wife.. Very nice day

I gave up driving deer when a slug whizzed by me, people walking towards people with guns shooting, seems like an accident waiting to happen, I’m glad that you are ok, and it sounds like you have a serious problem on your hands.

I thought this morning was going to be a bust and I had no intentions on seeing a deer let alone bagging one, at 8:30 I turned around and this guy was on a bee line about 80 yards out, I mouth grunted to stop him about as loud as I possible could and he finally stopped after the second attempt,, but of course he stopped behind a bunch of tress, so I settled my crosshairs on the next opening and when he stepped in, I shot, he then bolted and I fired again at the next chance really just a wing and prayer shot, he finally stopped about 150 yards out and stood for a few seconds then bolted out of sight leaving me not knowing if I had hit him or not, at which point I rushed down from the stand and did my best to find the last spot I saw him standing as I got closer to the spot I saw him about 40 yards away down and out....Yippie!!!! Even though no smile in the picture it sure was a good morning... I even have him earlier on camera..

Congrats,,,,,, Some nice deer taken yesterday, looks like a rollercoaster ride in the weather the next day or so going to make this more like work or interesting at the least.. Good luck all..

So I had a 1 1/2 6 point come in the woods tonight and I grunted and used the can bleet as loud as I could to finally get him to stop, then stop again and change direction to me, he kept coming but not giving me a shot opportunity finally at 20 yards I put the crossbow hairs on him and in all the mayhem I must of breathed on the scope fogging it ,, so I come back out of position and bump the tree and he looks at me, then starts to move away quatering away I wipe the scope quick take aim and shoot,, immediately WHACK at which point the crossbow about comes out of my hand LOL.... I knew what happened right away the linb whacked the tree.. What a way to end the string season oh well lets see what tomorrow brings.. Sorry the tree is sideways

Well I have three of those Wildgame cameras and they take awesome pics, long battery life and easy to set up and use, also put Cuddyback crappy pictures to shame, they are usually $80.00 you must of been to Dicks they had a sale on them for $39.99. Super Deal.. Dandy buck ...

One doe tonight alone just not ready to take a doe yet,, very quiet night with almost no wind... Need to get a new stand up this week for gun going to have to take a night off hunting to do so, never enough time in the day, need to be more comfortable for a all day sit.. Hopefully have some big buck action this week.. Good luck to all going out in the AM ..

Tonight I had three does, they where loud as heck snapping branches and crunching around,, they came through the thick stuff and I thought ok here's a hot doe with a buck trailing, well one can wish, they all came within 20 yards I decided not to shoot. Later I had I two does in gun range pass,,, all in all good night lots of action in the last couple days.. Taking the morning off good luck to all whos going out..

Alll good that stinks all the same ..

Years ago bow opened on the 15th of October not the 1st so we have gained 2 weeks over the years but the only change I would like to see is gun opening a week earlier and then closing a week sooner..

Got this guy on camera 20 yards from my stand not huge but will work for me at this point..

Two small bucks and a doe out of range, colds got them up..

No trips during deer season or missing opening day of gun thats just a no no... Thats like missing Christmas morning... Gheesh...

What a crappy week, hunted morning and night and a whopping total of three does and two bucks since the time has gone back,, all I can figure is the full moon and maybe mid day movement which I am unable to hunt,, going to get my sorry ass up and do it all again tomorrow just needed to vent, glad to hear Im not alone

Not much activity here in 7f had a spike the other night and I believe the same one yesterday morning does seemed to have disappeared,, loving the weather though..
