Can't say that I disagree with it being in the political section, but if it belongs there then the others certainly do too. However I'd suggest that maybe if moving someones post, a quick pm with something along the lines of "Hey, just wanted to let you know that the topic of conversation was better suited to this thread : xyz , you can find your post here : link " would help people feel less slighted , maybe?

Was just talking to my wife about this, and she brought up a very valid point... the one thing that has changed , and could be leading to these things is the infiltration of the internet into everyones lives. She described it as "at one point you may have had this sick f**k, but (s)he'd be alone with his/her thoughts, now (s)he has forums and chatrooms and websites to meet others who think like him/her and hone his/her sick f**ckdedness, and the media to spread his/her story across the internet when (s)he's done these things"

This guy could have caused the same amount of mayhem just as easily with a gas can and a lighter... should we have background checks at the gas pump too? Or for buying kitchen knives?
