Trying this again...packed in stand for another al day sit. Temp wise should be a little better, yesterday was brutally cold. Yesterday psssed on a small 8 that I grunted into 15yds and later on a young 5pt. Saw one other small buck and a doe but no big boys. Good luck all out

Today begins day 1 of 7 day huntcation. Set up in the stand and packed in for an all day sit. Going to be a cold one if I last that long. Hunting log shows 98.75 hours on stand so far this season...Passed on some young bucks and drew on a shooter this past weekend but he didnt present a shot...would be nice to get a chance to send it today. My Remington Model 700 30-06 scoped with a Nikon 3x9 BDC Reticle, shooting Remington 165gr Core-Lokts. Love shooting that gun...pretty much a tack driver.

Another buck cruised through, this one a small buck about 70 yds out...hated cutting today short for this BD party today. Down from tree at 12:00 but saw 2 doe, 3 bucks, and 2 coyotes on the day. Good luck to all still out. Work Monday & Tuesday, then off for 7 days...I can't wait.

Medium 6Pt just cruised through at 10 yds nose to the ground. Tried to get my phone for a pic and he busted me. Bucks are on their feet looking for love

Finally just laid eyes on a shooter this season....nice mature 8Pt. Chasing 2 doe, ended up coming by me at about 15 yds. Drew back but no good shot opportunity the two times he briefly stopped. Tried grunting him back but no luck.

Yesterday was a long cold all day sit, only seeing 4 doe with the last 2 at 1145. Then nothing else rest of the sit. Hopefully today will have some bucks moving through

Set up in stand waiting on daylight. Can't do an all day sit today, out of stand by 1 for a BD party. Feels like a perfect day. Good luck all

Doe and yearling came by me at about 35yds at about 8:40, walked around slowly eating, and then layed down about 75yds in front of me at about 9:00...so far both still laying there. That's it for activity this sit so far.

Well, at least for now, I'm a member of this group too. I've seen 9 smaller bucks so far out there and passed up shots at 6 of them between 8 and 30yds including a medium sized 8Pt at 11yds. So far I haven't seen one of the big boys yet but we all know how that goes...it only takes being in the right spot at the right time to change your whole season in a matter of minutes. Interestingly I checked cam cards a few days ago and on video, I have the 8pt I passed on sparring with a small 6pt while a 4pt is rubbing a tree in the background...pretty cool video! Stick to it guys and girls, your worst season ever can turn into your best season ever all in a matter of minutes but you gotta be in the game for that chance.

I'm back to work tomorrow then off work for the last 3 days of bow and the first 4 days of gun. Good luck this afternoon!

x2...was raining pretty hard here at 0400 when I got up. Slowed down to a sprinkle now and weather calling for no rain after 11. So, planning to head out by 10ish.

I always try to get set up in stand about an hour before light to give the woods time to settle...just had a lone deer walking through about 15 yds from stand, obviously can't tell what it was because it's too dark to see still but now I hear him rubbing a tree, sounds like hes ripping it up too. Pretty cool but wish he was about an hour later

In stand for all day sit #2. Yesterday ended up seeing 3 bucks, 2 of which were chasing/trailing does.No big boys seen but hopefully today a big boy gets in the game. Epic day for the forum yesterday...Congrats to all who scored! Good luck all.

So far pretty active for the first all day sit of the season. Day began with a small buck, small 5 or 6pt, chasing 3 doe out of bedding area on side of pond. Does came walking by at about 20yds buck went by at about 33yds. Then some does later in the morn. Later a lone button buck walked practically right up to my tree. Then later another small buck, 6pt, trailing a doe right by my treex about 15yds. So far 8 does and 3 small bucks...no big boys yet.

I always thought strong winds minimizes deer movement but doesn't sound like it from the reports on here and from what I've seen today. Been on stand since about 2:30 and have ateady had 2 groups of 3 doe slowly walking/grazing by. Had 2 of them under 15 yds, others between 25 - 35yds. Now hopefully some big boys will come through

Agreed. When I say passed up a shot, I mean that it was less than 30yds and presented an ethical shot that I would have actually taken if was going to try to kill it...buck or doe
