    Breaking News Thompson Center CEO, Pro Hunter and Owner of Game Trails LLC Gregg Ritz along with Site Manager Dirk McTavish, Jr .have been fined $50,000 after pleading guilty to multiple Lacey Act Violations for illegally taking game animals in Kentucky.

    Sorry, I meant Horton. From what I read a year ago he was fined $50k along with another employee of Game Trails. I'll try and find the article.

    Ok, I just curious how Gregg Ritz is still in the hunting Industry after his game violations? Seems TC let him go after this but Hoyt gives him a job as their CEO? Seems to be sending the wrong message..eh?

    Burt, how many years you planted Brassica? Sometimes it takes 2 to 3 years before they hit it some say. Mine get hit hard as does my soybeans, oats and winter rye.

    Joe, I thought you have around 120 acres of clover on your place? Isn't that a food plot? Plus, you are the only person I know that uses the terminology "hrybrid plots" yes, there is hybrid clovers but they aren't developed for bigger deer racks. Hybrid cloves have been around before the foodplot industry started.

    ok, my property borders a dairy farm and during the summer months the flies that make it into the house is ridiculous. Anyone have a solution on flies and mice?

    Joe, thnks for explaining. There are many varieties that get developed but not sure for antler growth specifically....The Commercial deer seed companies have good marketing Most of those clovers you can get at your local co-op. I do plant food plots and it's no way a sure thing on killing big mature deer. Now if you said cover, well that's a different story.

    you found 50 acres for mid 60K? if so that is a good deal and worth checking out the land. My neighbor is selling 230 acres with house and 40X100 building, nice pond for 450K but only for QDM hunters lol.

    How much land you looking for and how much you want to spend? Otsego county is pretty big, I'm on the border of Otsego/Chenango. Can't complain about deer hunting.

    Brandon great buck. Why is the buck field dressed with snow in one picture and the other picture looks like he isn't and no snow? Just curious? Also, I like when there is history with a buck, can you post 08 and 09 trail cam pictures? Would love to see the growth from year to year. Thnks!

    My dad took a nice piebald 8pt on the Island and his house didn't burn down I also have seen several piebald and Albino hunting the hamptons.

    Geno, I was giving my standards not for anyone else to follow. I have hunted over 25 yrs with the bow and only lost one deer. I'm happy with my decisions on all my shot placements. Like you said the percentages of things that could go wrong with long shots goes up.

    "you really just limited your possibilities" culv, I understand western hunting is different however, I rather limit my possibilities than make unethical shots. I would rather go home with tag soup ;D

    If anyone shoots beyond 40-45 yards with a bow please stop hunting! Alot of things need to be right for shots that far. Target shooting and actual hunting with a bow is very different.

    Buck, you want to reduce the stress on your mature bucks? Better yet on the deer herd? Reduce the human pressure, provide a food source through winter(habitat improvements, food plots, tsi, natural browse etc..) provide cover and water....oh yeah take out some yotes as well. Taking yearling bucks doesn't reduce the mature bucks stress.

    yes, it's a two way street. So all my neighbors please stop shooting the 1 1/2 old bucks
