    I Need A PFD

You owe me nothing, I told you that the other day. As far as the boat ride, count on it..........

    I Need A PFD

That would be great Dan if you're sure you'll not need it again. As far as the standard ones go, I'm good on those. I'm was hoping to see you this weekend before the PFD induced stroke of luck anyway.

She's been chased off, again. Maybe she'll be back, maybe not. A couple years ago she did the same thing and of course did come back. A few of the guys here gave her enough of a hard time (I'm sure I ruffled her feathers once, MAYBE twice??) that she said fugg it. Can't blame her but hopefully she gives us another shot.

    I Need A PFD

I have to get a PFD for early season fishing. If it is between November 1st and May 1st you must wear one. (just when operating the boat, I think) I'm going to get one of those blow up jobbers that Cabela's sells. Co2 aren't they? Any input from those in the know?
  7. So you DID move to Depew!!! That isn't wallpaper is it?
  8. The light fixture is A-OK......my choices in paint samples not so good.
  9. Applebee's Delta Sonic deal redemption...........the local guys know WTH I'm talking about.
  10. Sure, cardinals don't migrate but their "song of spring" is my point. Can't be beat...............
  11. Oh it was/IS Canadian. I almost bought Canadian Light but said, nope, I can work it off. Needless to say, I'm screwed.
  12. You guys probably aren't interested in hearing about the 18 pack of Molson I bought today, are you? This beer thread is REALLY dragging on. Such a simple non complex subject that is WAY more complicated than you're making it.
  13. Well on a related note; the simple little light fixture for the bathroom has also been a struggle. I wasn't apposed to buying a light fixture at a BB store as much as I was the plumbing fixtures so we (wife and I) had been to HD and Lowe's a bunch of times but NOTHING really struck us as the "one" for us. I know it's not too big of a deal and we shouldn't sweat it but neither place had the right one. Well today I shot over to Shanor and browsed a bit. http://shanorroyalitelighting.com/ A lady I was acquainted with a number of years ago worked there. Thankfully she was in and we made small talk for a few minutes reacquainting and then got down to business. 3 minutes of browsing and I said the magic words......"I'll take THAT one". The price was a bit higher than a BB store but the quality is better (from what I can see) and the finish appears to be much better. Win/win/win.......... My wife just got home from work, now we'll see if I can keep it. Stay tuned..............................
  14. Funny you mention TV's...........When we made our one and only HD TV purchase I did what I could online and in stores. Best Buy just confused me with all there bullshiit I walked out pissed out. I looked at Sears, Wal Mart etc and just hated it. I didn't want to buy one off the web for some reason and kept shopping. One night buy chance, I was in Target and browsed their TV selection. I had my eyes on a Samsung from the start of the hunt and right there and then, the RIGHT TV, for the RIGHT price jumped out at me. It literally took me 20 seconds to pull the trigger and we have NOT been disappointing in the TV at all. In fact, quite pleased and would buy another in a heart beat from them. Weird huh? Strangely, I hate Best Buy. Something about the huge wall of TV's that just bombards the consumer with an overwhelming amount of pixels and sound that drives me nuts.
  15. The spring time is such a great time of the year. Second only to fall in my mind.......... One of my favorite "signs" of spring is the song and sight of the male Northern Cardinal. When I hear them I'll stop what I'm doing and search way up high in the barren tree tops for the bright red plumage of the great bird. I had a neighbor who is deceased now, that would call to the cardinals and the seemed to respond in kind. I started doing it years ago and have some fun with them............my current neighbors think (and rightly so) I'm nuts. http://birdsandblooms.com/blog/video-the-cardinals-song/ Play this little clip and enjoy what others have put together about the bird.
  16. Ahh, another sound of spring! The soft cooing of the mourning dove is one of the greatest sounds for a bird hunter. Not that it's something I heard very often when hunting doves, but more the vocalization from resting birds either in a neighbors pine tree or while taking a break on a roof top. The sounds from the above attached link are PERFECT! Even old Jenny perked up when I played the last two clips of the flushing birds.
  17. Easy there Tiger, let's not get crazy here.......................
  18. Isn't all that easy when manufacturers keep jumbling up models and part numbers.
  19. Yes, I had heard that from someone about JD mowers and such.
  20. I've had some lousy luck with Home Depot plumbing fixtures (faucets and toilets) and need to buy some new stuff for a half bath remodel at home. I can buy at a plumbing wholesale place via my employer's discount. I don't know for sure what the discount will be but it'll still (I'm thinking) be more expensive than Lowe's or Home Depot. That doesn't bother me because I'm looking for quality stuff, without a hassle in the short term. Do you believe (I do) a company would reduce the quality of their products for sale in these and similar big box stores? Thoughts/experiences with this issue?

Orchard Park, New York. Not sure but I think his barber shop was in his house, on 20A? Can't be sure......... A good friend (deceased now) was the shooter on the cassette tape titled "Hunting The Boss Gobbler Of Letchworth Canyon" back in the 70's. Another friend was along on the hunt too.....
  22. What a bunch of hoodlums you guys are. It's been a while since I've been pinched.........skated on a couple trooper stops over the past 20 years but my "connection" has since retired. I have a next door neighbor who is an Amherst Policeman and good (no, GREAT) guy. I hate speeding, running red lights etc. It's the small town speed reductions that darn near get me every time. The two speeding stop I've got out of were in Strykersville on 78 and Millgrove as I was hauling azz down Genesee Street. I'm jinxed now.............................

That's nice Dan. How did you guys meet? I know a couple guys that used to go to Dick when he had the barber shop in Orchard Park.
  24. Nawww, I gave away a couple boxes and have slowed down on the remainder. Heck, those things will kill you.
