It shouldn't matter too much. I've had wet feathers/ arrows with chunks missing out of the feathers and they seem to fly just fine for me. How is that widow treating you btw? I saw a pic of it on another thread. What model did you get?

Bump. Open to offers.. I also have a Nikon pro staff for sale 3x9x40. Pm me -
i already have calipers. The kit comes with the trimmer, and I just bought the case length gauge specific to the cartridge. Pretty sure that's everything right.
-
I've seen videos of dudes cleaning it in soapy water mixtures etc. I don't really feel like buying a tumbler. I'm trying to spend the least amount of money possible on being able to reload good rounds.

I went with the 130 dollar kit. I picked up dies and a case trimmer. What else is necessary?

The lee challenger breach kit
-
I put the order in for the lee kit last night along with a few of the die sets and accessories. I'm looking forward to getting it next week.
-
Thanks for all the info guys.

I am almost 100 percent sure I'm going to get the lee single stage press kit. It has some good reviews and seems easy to use.

I'm curious as to how many of you reload your own ammo. What have you found to be some of the pros and cons? I'm trying to figure out if it's really worth it for me. I'm looking to primarily reload my 6.8 spc as well as my 223 and 30-30. I have been saving all of my brass for a while now. It sucks having to order 6.8 spc online and to go through the dealer to get it.

Yeah it was great. Couldn't believe how accurate it was. I used it for deer drives but tossed a scope on the gun now. -
Check out the savage model 25 walking varmiter. I have one in 223, it's super accurate. One of my favorite guns to shoot.

In the market for a semi automatic rifle
MrGroundhog replied to Deerthug's topic in Rifle and Gun Hunting
I use to have a stag model three. It was a great gun. But I ended up getting rid of it. It was insanely loud with the short barrel and muzzle break. I just put together a new ar for deer hunting this year. It's a stag 7h in 6.8spc. It's awesome. Minimal recoil, accurate and has a longer barrel that is crowned. Rubber grip on the forearm so ur hands don't freeze when hunting. If u plan on hunting deer with it I would highly recommend it. I also have all the evil features. The mag is pinned, and to be honest it's not as bad as you would think.
