Looking to sell my cva optima. Will sell with or without the Nikon 3x9x40 bdc comes with everything you see in the picture. Looking to get 380 Obo for everything

Do you ever hunt the hector state land for turkeys? I have hunted it for deer but never birds. I would imagine it would be pretty decent.
-
I got some 1000g rubber boots from dicks that are all of 7 years old. Not the most comfortable boot in the world but they have held up great.. I'm looking at getting a new pair of boots and was thinking about the mucks. They seem way more comfortable. I have heard that they don't hold up very well though. Anyone have issues with them ripping?

FS:Remington 1100 barrel and chokes
MrGroundhog replied to MrGroundhog's topic in Hunting Items For Sale and Trade
This is gone... Not sure how to delete it. -
For sale, remington 1100 barrel, 21 inch rifled sights smooth bore with a rifled and improved cylinder choke. Choke wrench included. Looking to get $185.
-
I love the look and feel of those savage rigs... I love how they have rifled sights too. I will have the hog hunter in 308 one day lol. They have to be pretty similar

Yes, but no fox with it. I usually take my shotgun as I don't have my ar anymore. Honestly i like taking that but your range is limited. I need to spend some time and pattern loads. If you plan on going during any deer season your limited to rim fire only so that's another reason to consider 22 mag.
-
I hear ya there... That's the reason I wanted the 22 mag as well, but the 223 has a ton of bullets to chose from. They havnt been bad on yotes but fox I'm not sure. #4 buck isn't a bad choice either. No pelt damage on the fox with that.
-
I'm in the same boat as you.. I've picked up and held the savage 93 22 mag several times, but didn't get it. I'm partial to savage, and they are offering a 25 dollar rebate now on the model 93's. I may just go for a savage in 223 instead. I feel like your getting a round that has a little more versatility than the 22 mag.

I would love to just have the sbe2 in my arsenal haha

First time coyote hunting

I don't like to blast away on the call if I'm using a mouth call. I like to call for 30 seconds and shut up for a few minutes, then repeat. A lot of times Ive heard them coming before I've seen them coming. So if ur blasting away on a call you won't hear them footsteps. always be ready down wind, that's where they pop out 99 percent of the time. Also be ready and have a steady rest because a lot of time you only get a split second to shoot. -
I was looking at that last night... And saw the dates listed on the map and then the feb. 5-10 season. So obviously there is the late season zones toward the south portion of the state, but I see nothing about 5 and 20 being the line? so were these individuals mis informed?
-
So yesterday I spoke to two different individuals and they mentioned that there will be a late goose season opening up soon in areas south of rt 5 and 20. I looked for info on this and called dec, but did not hear back from them. Does anyone know if this is true?

Here's the color
-
I just did my room in a flat hunter green color, I can't remember the exact name of it. White trim molding and oak floor. I'm happy with how it turned out.
-
I stick with the 1000's. Sprinkle some powder in them/ on ur feet. I've noticed it helps absorb the moisture. When you sweat you freeze.

Nice what was he aged at?

I would start with a lighter lb bow for sure. But what it all boils down to for me is consistency. Doing everything exactly the same everytime I grip, draw, anchor and release. it may seem so simple but there really is a lot of details to consider like brace height, arrow spine and weight, split finger or three under etc... You really just have to practice a lot and continue to be consistent with what works for you.

I'm torn between the thumbhole and prairie. I love the feel of the thumbhole. But wonder if it would be tough to handle and work the bolt quickly if needed.

I guess I'll give it a whirl.. I'm not too familiar with the terminology but I'll watch some more videos and hopefully it's a decent match.
