Everything is SOLD. Please lock -
I believe it use to be well over 2,000 for many years. I’m just curious if any of you guys ever knew about it, or would fish it.
-
Have any of you heard about the Seneca lake trout derby? This came up in discussion the other day, as the entry numbers are decreasing. I feel like there is never any advertisement, and was curious if anyone from This site even knew about it. It’s always on Memorial Day weekend. Entry fee is 30 dollars with a total payout of over 30,000 total. (10,000 dollars goes to the largest fish.)

Was it user error?? The turkey shakes???
-
Haha damn dude, I forgot you bought that from me! What about the camera?! Do you still have that lol?
-
Haha, keep it! I love my 243 too.... we have very similar gun taste I’ve noticed. Savage 243, Henry 30-30. Now you want to copy me with the stag!
-
Wasn’t sure if you ever shot one. I got you... I was saying it’s really not much more kick than the 556, but you def leave a nice size hole. It has less recoil than my 243 shooting 100 grains.
-
Yes... just a tad more than 556, which is why I really like it. I have shot a bunch of different ammo out of it too and everything shoots about exactly the same POI. Our guns all shoot under a inch at 100. Drops about 5” out to 200 yards. I have no complaints with it other than ammo not being available in all stores.

I am a big advocate for the 6.8spc. I got two buddies on board with using it for deer ( all three of us have the stag 7h upper). I have shot several deer the past couple years with it and they have all died within 50 yards or less with very good blood trails. Most were within 20 yards of impact. These were all lung shot deer. The federal fusions are what I use and they are excellent. Complete pass through on all deer. My buddies use the sst, and they are pretty explosive.

.223 for deer how far would you shoot a deer with one ?
MrGroundhog replied to Hunter007's topic in Deer Hunting
Moog, is there something u can easily add to your ten rounder to make it a five? I have a five rounder locked into my gun all the time, and wish it was a ten for target shooting situations. Storm... look into the 6.8 spc. Excellent round for deer. I have two buddy’s that are now using it for deer in the ar platform and they love it just as much as me. -
Nutty nut hatch is probably my favorite call. Fox love it.
-
Moog, I’m a huge savage fan.... check out the model 11fcns... you can save a couple hundred bucks. I have one in 243.. it’s VERY accurate. It also has the Accutrigger and accustock.
-
Gun is gone. Mod please lock.

I have the original lcp and it is a great gun. I have seen them online for under 200 lately. Its perfect for a nice little pocket gun. Don’t expect to shoot long range with it lol.
-
Did it get beat up after one season? What type of paint did you use?
-
First I just taped off everything really well.... that honestly took the longest. Earplug in the end of the barrel. Cleaned everything with alcohol to cut off any grease etc. I put down two coats of tan. Then I just grabbed some grasses and pine branches, put it on the rifle and sprayed the green and brown. The branches that were more open left a nice outline on the rifle. I wanted to keep it lighter so I didn’t use too much brown. I could have used a matte clear coat for protection, but I have heard that even the matte leaves a sheen. I also don’t care if it gets worn because I prefer that look.
-
Thanks guys. Haha, I never was a fan of spraying them either. The first spray was tough, but after that you just let it go. That camo wrap looks legit. Is that like a tape that you apply?

Anyone own one of these ?
MrGroundhog replied to Water Rat's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
That’s true. No direct experience with the 300 but from what I read the 6.8 shoots flatter further. You could also look into the 6.5 Grendel. -
I was bored and wanted to try a DIY camo job on one of my rifles. So I watched a few YouTube videos and grabbed some rustoleum spray cans and went to work. I thought it came out good, and I am happy with the results. We’ll see how well it holds up. Have any of you guys tried doing a camo job yourself? Post up some pics if you have.

Mag lock is the way to go in my experience. The spurs and odd stocks all felt really weird to me. Are you set on 556/223 cal? Check out the 6.8spc. You will be able to use it for deer, and it will attach to the ar15 lowers. I have a stag model 7 hunter. Its one of the most accurate guns in my safe. 20 inch medium contour barrel is really nice.
