  1. haha i'm actually going to try and skip my evening drinks today and tomorrow. That may be the hardest part.
  2. that's why i was wondering if it's a scope or a bow site, but iirc it's the same... been a while. However if you're 4" to the left and it's 1/4" adjustment at 100 you'd make 16 clicks to the right or clockwise.
  3. 2nd shot for me tomorrow. Planning on drinking lots of fluids today and tomorrow.
  4. You mean like the fact that kids are still in cages, someone is still stumbling while walking, mis pronouncing words and we just sanctioned china again? Yeah but at least there's not a mean guy tweeting his feelings right? the hypocrisy is astounding and they can't even avoid it anymore.
  5. cynthia is this a compound or crossbow? Regardless I think you need to move a few inches to the right and a few inches down. Shoot 3 more and repeat.
  6. if your grouping is good, which it looks like it is, then I think your site is off.
  7. i didn't hear that yet but assumed it none the less. Not to detract, but they're still pushing the racial narative on the atlanta shooter even after it was discovered that race had nothing to do with it and the guy probably just had a small dick. So black lives matter, womens lives matter, asian lives matter, latino lives matter starting to sound a lot like all lives matter... haha
  8. thought about the same... but what if the world isn't back to normal as we expected? Also, many might not go back to a costly gym now that they have their bike at home and it's convenient. They're also releasing a more affordable model and expanding overseas...
  9. yeah the price is why I'm in. They were recently in the 140's. Not sure if they go back to that, but they'll tickle in and around the 130's. More interesting will be the new phone news as it comes.
  10. Think of it this way, your 401k isn't touchable. Don't mess with it because you can't afford to lose it. But lets say you have 3,5 or 10k that you would really, really like to keep but it isn't going to result in you losing your home if you do lose it. That's your fun money. If you're just trading here and there it wont go to zero, but if you're buying options it could. It also could balloon to a level that now that new bass boat is in reach. It really is no different than sports gambling, although you don't generally lose all of it on a bad bet. But who wins and why? That's very much the same haha.
  11. aapl is still a fun one. Price isn't too bad and it's bouncing around the 120's enough to make 200% gains in some cases.
  12. are you saying we have to pay taxes? haha I pulled back a lot too, but kept about 20% now as I'm enjoying the options thing. 3 for 4 and my only loss was a 0.76p on AMC so it's not all that bad. PENN could/will be a little more costly this Friday...
  13. same I do both. If you believe in a company long term, buy some shares when they're low and just let it ride. You don't even need to check in on it unless you think it's about to tank for some reason. You can hold for years and years and give it to your kids. I have (we will just say a lot) of shares from my great aunt who used to work at GE. She gave them to me when I started working there in 2011. They were $1 a share when she received them lol. Talk about going long. You can buy and hold short if you want to ride a rumor or news. For example in early February I bought shares in whirlpool and iRobot as I had hopes a 3rd check would have people continuing investing in their homes. They're both up and I'll probably sell both soon. Hell back in March 2020, you could have invested in zoom, peleton, door dash, roku etc. All the quarantine shit and made a killing. Now people are reinvesting in travel and entertainment (while risky) assuming the world will open back up. The risk of course is if the world doesn't. Then there's options. That's where the short/quick money and total 100% loss kicks in haha.
  14. loss of life and other more important issues aside, these 2 recent mass shootings aren't great for our rights. The timing is bad and the pressure will be tremendous. I'm not a tin foil hat guy and even I'm wondering what are the chances we go months and months without mass shootings and then 2 high profile ones as these bills are being voted on?
  15. yeah there are some snoozer moments. They release an episode each week, typically an hour or 2 long. That's a lot of air to fill. The last year has been tough too and you can see the decline in quality as they try to do stuff over zoom. Some of my favorite episodes were in the field, even if the audio was degraded. Guys sitting in a tent as it rained, talking about their hunt and their plans for the next day is pretty cool. There's a 2 part about the bear attack that is a must listen.
  16. I've never been a big Kenyon fan, but his ability to find and secure land is impressive and the last couple years he did it with a newborn. The western hunters (Rinella and Cal) bust his balls on his scent control and stuff, but I love how he holds his ground. The meateater crew do not hunt in treestands and there is a disconnect there. I wonder if part of the whole thing is similar to the underground band/artist who makes it. Very few have been able to maintain their roots/authenticity after they make it big. I see it most in rappers where their hunger fades. Athletes too. The term sellout is there for a reason. I don't know how a guy like Rinella could do it while growing his brand... that shits hard. I didn't know about the gun, that's a weird offering for sure. I do know he raffled off his old kimber and they have raised a lot of money for conservation. I think that's a start. I'd probably have never eaten squirrel or blue gill if it wasn't for these guys and I now love them both.
  17. I enjoy the banter. I can see how one might not like that, but for me a bunch of a guys talking openly about hunting ethics or calling strategies is more appealing than a lecture style format. That's interesting. Of all the guys out there, he pushes products the least. Sure he still reps for vortex, first lite, shnees etc but on the podcast or show he doesn't shoot a nice elk and then get down on a knee and thank is Wetherbee and muck boots lol. He's a guy that started trapping as a kid in Michigan and now lives out west, but has lived in Alaska and new york. I think he brings an interesting view. One that isn't "whitetails or nothing else". I realize i now come across as leg humping, but his podcasts have inspired me to grow into other areas of the outdoors I might not have otherwise tried so I guess I'm thankful there.
  18. meateater for me. I like the variety. There's only a few episodes I didn't finish where they were talking about wild horses and stuff. But I even really enjoy hearing about mountain lions and other species/lands that don't impact me directly. Helps when talking to an anti that doesn't know their ass from a hole in the ground.
  19. depends on your job. I can easily do mine while checking in here and there. And if you're not worried about a few dollars setting up buy and sell limits makes it easier too. So I guess it depends on who you are and what you have the stomach for. Regardless, it's not for the faint of heart.
  20. i thought the pre-tournament hype would keep the momentum going. Most of the growth and then shrinking back was thursday night and then friday morning so I couldn't have anyhow. Given the pace it was growing, I felt obliged to let it ride and when 9:30 came around it had already tanked like 10 points
  21. I just read a post in a topic that is now locked. You guys saying there's nothing to hunt right now need to get your ass in the deer woods. The best time to trim lanes that mimic november is now. That way you don't over trim in the late summer. Get out and hike and scout now, this weekend was beautiful. Put a smile on my face and no desire to argue dumb things on the internet.
  22. apple is coming back nicely, and Biz is buying me a beer for his promotion of PENN, however it could be a buy low.
  23. Hung a stand yesterday with my dad and boys. No trimming or accessories but tried out the climbing steps in lieu of ladder sticks and I think I like them. Got a good deal, so I’m pleased https://www.cabelas.com/shop/en/muddy-stagger-steps-packable-ladder-system?ds_e=GOOGLE&ds_c=Shop%7CGeneric%7CAllProducts%7CHigh%7CSSCCatchAll&gclid=Cj0KCQjw3duCBhCAARIsAJeFyPUHlnohJI3KOIksjfGmLk5oetvLnsOAlx7XCcvI8KVM5uNfSuY4LHcaAvC5EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
