  1. exactly what you know it to be, but i'll bite on your bait regardless https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_show_loophole#:~:text=Gun show loophole is a,background check of the buyer. For private sales, any person may sell a firearm to an unlicensed resident of the same state as long as they do not know or do not have reasonable cause to believe the purchaser is prohibited from receiving or possessing firearms under federal law https://www.atf.gov/file/61721/download
  2. this is not the bill approved by the house. this is a proposal to the senate. keep in mind that crazy pants dems also introduced a bill that forgives all rent and mortgages for a year and a guy in missouri introduced a bill for bigfoot hunting. Ask the guys in the NYCC how introducing bills goes.
  3. I have a pretty active fox population. Do you guys just stick with rabbit distress and avoid yote calls entirely if maybe hoping for "just a fox"?
  4. IF and this is a big IF, this isn't just another cut with an attempt at more (and yes, I realize they want more), I'm not exactly against better background checks and closing the gunshow loophole. Again, all of this is predicated on the buck stopping here and not the "give an inch, take a mile" that gun control advocates push. I also believe this maybe, and only maybe prevents a few deaths a year. Those hell bent on mass murder will just have to wait a little longer and those looking for a gunshow loophole will find a way too as money always talks. But finally, for the 3rd time, if this helps some while suburban libs feel better than fine. I don't see how it affects me. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/03/11/us/politics/biden-gun-control-bill.html
  5. haha pulled some cameras yesterday. This sums up my squirrel hunting season pretty well
  6. yawn. should we eliminate booze too? I never once said that pot was without its issues btw. But I'd much rather have people use weed than booze and I'd rather them try weed to treat pain than opioids. There are so many high functioning people who smoke a joint on a friday night to unwind, again I think you're clueless to this. You're using the addict as an example. Abusing anything whether it's pot or booze isn't good. Recreational use to relax whether it's smoking a joint occasionally or a glass or 2 of wine is completely innocent. Let people choose their vice and let the government profit from it.
  7. Exactly, don't file early if you made more. I think they're going out now so it's probably too late regardless.
  8. Was a beautiful night, saw a few rabbit eyes glowing but that was it. Found that my blind that made it all fall and winter blew away, so I sat there in the chair a lot more exposed than I would have like, still no return vocals so nots sure it mattered. Went back for a hike and prep work today and found it about 800 yards away hung up in a hedgerow, looks to be undamaged too.
  9. so quickly you forget about how fast kavenaugh was guilty until proven innocent. The dems can't have it both ways. We either believe all victims or we don't. They're either kids in cages or they're not.
  10. You crack me up man. Your ignorance around the number of medical and recreational pot smokers is astounding. I hope we ban booze too so that you're never in danger of being killed by a drunk driver.
  11. Ok how about this. You guys can decide what you want to do if and when it becomes legalized. It shouldn't affect you in the least. Agreed?
  12. have you seen or read any reliable evidence of this happening? I had a medical prescription through the DOH. That's as on the record as you can get and I never had so much as an email. Legalizing it leaves no paper trail like the medical does.
  13. whoever it is, they better f'n legalize weed. It's one of only 3 issues I agree with the dems on and here we are in a deep as f*ck blue state, still without legalized weed.
  14. PS I hope that sleepy joe pissed off a whole bunch of vegans with his comments about cooking meat on the backyard bbq. I'm with him on that, so hey, we found some common ground haha.
  15. I'm not saying the guy isn't a creep. But that's very different than being a pedo.
  16. Just a note for those of you ready to file. They changed the threshold for this round of stimulus. If you made more in 2020 you may want to wait to file, if you made less you may want to file asap. The IRS will use whichever is your most recent accepted return to determine eligibility. https://www.cnet.com/personal-finance/are-you-eligible-for-a-1400-stimulus-check-heres-what-we-know/
  17. especially when you consider that the second wave of eligible vaccinations were those who were already "sick" with comorbidities and the elderly.
  18. lots of doctors on late night tv selling me all sorts of hair growth products, testosterone and vitamins. One should always be skeptical and educated before drinking the Kool-Aid and that should apply to the outliers who are against the grain with global warming and medicine as well. Many people have a price that they will accept to compromise their morals.
  19. yeah but you kept to your buying price. That discipline will pay off in the long run helping you not to chase something. Sometimes it doesn't work out right, but it does help keep you grounded.
  20. probably my first and last hunt this weekend too. No tourney, but man what a cruddy season weather wise.
