don't think i heard it hit. i'll have to go to the club and use the indoor range. if i go straight back into the furnace room i can get to 20 yards, but that's got a lot going on from work i'm doing in there and stuff i'm moving around at the moment. i figured it would've settled by then. maybe not. POI seems to be right. it's just nock left. that might hurt me when i throw heads on the front i'm thinking.

yea wouldn't recommend it. lol it's really not needed for any game in north america.

Not first shots but first recurve groups in a while. Couple not so tight groups to kick rust off before this one. Figuring out if the unfletched arrow is actually telling me something or not. Finally blew the dust off my super kodiak. While I work on getting a string for the new one. Seriously perplexed. Infletched arrow made contact with others so I pulled that and shot it twice more at the other dots to the left. Didnt seem to matter. Other arrows got me wondering if it's just the little bit of bulk from the electrical tape. Though about taking it off but then it wouldn't weigh same as others. I got in an accident little over 4 years ago. SUV turned left right in front me instead of yielding. Screwed up my shoulder a bit. I can still feel it a bit if I dont keep my muscles toned. Then I couldnt even budge a 60 lb bow and was way less than half your age. Those bands and stretches my therapist had me do where no joke despite nothing for resistance. Moved into the new (to me) house. Took one of the stand alone work benches from the old house with me. Took that dismantled bench I made and repurposed the wood to build a new built in one for the furnace room in this house. Quit as I need some electrical to install an outlet and LED light I had. Also need more screws for the backboard and to start hanging tools and what not. Went together quick though. Plus I ran out of juice (batteries and beer). I ripped out shelving that was here. The guy makes much nicer looking ones but this one still should shoot nice. Picked it up used so I'm not paying around $1k that it normally would be. Grip seems right and not too high or low. Ive always messed around with recurves but never gave them a fair chance in the woods or at the range. Moogs been keeping the trad bow thing going on here. Its kept giving me an itch. I was actually at another compound when I found this Bruin custom recurve. Huntmaster Express T/D, 60" AMO, 50# @ 28" which is about my draw. Last time I shot a Bruin I was borrowing it from a friend and shooting a league that was a blast. I really liked the bow. Nothing fancy but it should shoot really well. If it's like the last one. if deer weren't edible they'd be overpopulated and eating what was edible that you were trying to grow to eat or feed what was edible. you'd then shoot them anyway. just a thought.

that spring DEC had their deer management overview webcast that you could attend in person at certain locations. nothing really against Mr Hurst, but if you were there in Albany to see the look of disdain on his face when admitting it was a screw up would've been priceless. he "noted" that participation went down for the very reason you didn't hunt. sometimes there's too many chiefs in the teepee down there.
