you were probably so close to getting a flying elbow from him sending it from off the high top table. i'm guessing Ol' Dan is more spry than people think. No wonder us eastern folk don't play the game. It's destined for you wild wild western NY gentlemen. live and learn. seriously seeing you get pistol whipped by Pygmy's pocket derringer would not be for the faint at heart.

ours is sold out. if there's seats available people need to go. it's the hunting banquet of the year!

I need to up my compass navigation skills

also it's probably most important to do a little research to know what's in the area and around you. if you get turned around you might still find a peak, river/creek, or something else that'd tell you which way to go without even looking a map or compass that you may or may not still have on you. -

that's true but if i were him i wouldn't go out in the absolute sticks to learn. baby steps. there's Forest Ranger rescues in the "higlights" email blasts every week. -

pretty straight forward but don't have any references. learned back in boy scouts decades ago. our scout master was in the Army and that was his wheel house. if you take a coarse it'll teach you tips and tricks that a manual won't teach you. like when entering to from a roadway check out the utility pole numbers where you're heading out and if they go up or down in a particular direction. that way when you come back screwy and maybe just up the road from your start point, you'll know which way to start walking the road to get back. -
friend of mine has a good hot and sweet recipe. he uses a seasoning called "seasoning from hell" comes in a yellow square can kind of like Old Bay.

top round aka "london broil" works fine.

a coworker millennial from VT tried to tell me I'm a millennial since i'm born in '83. he referenced the internet, in which i'm by subjective definition on the fringe of being one. if we weren't at work i would've hit him in the face with a hard cover building code handbook.

i was kind of wondering when someone was going to bring that pic up. it was an odd addition. very viking like if held it while drinking a beer.

No stouts here. Found a couple sloop cans that must have got buried in the fridge. Both ipa so might as well drink asap. Close one but this still good. Super Soft is next. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Local brew at 50 ibu with alzacca hops that I really like. Making room for the next one of the series that they've now released. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

i've always been from the sticks and they still had a following. unlike some newer ones with a ton of riser flex the older mathews single cam bows were pretty rigid and tuned well.

Trees for Winter Browsing
dbHunterNY replied to J sin's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
suggestions on species already made. some hardwoods can be high value trees. save any that are straight especially ones with easily created room around them. great ones to look for are ones with double trunks at the base. over time they'll die or break first. they also won't give you much of any board feet for lumber or veneer logs. they're more of a fire wood tree. great for leaving the lots of tops after you cut them down or hinge them. -
Biz the switchback is like the ultimate holy grail of throwback Mathews bows. Any serious fan of Mathews has one or your just a bandwagon chaser. That bow would make your collection solid.

Weather here is brutal. I mean its pouring rain now. Since when does that happen?! We were doing a little backyard fishing, when a dolphin blew up my daughters spot. Waiting for the rain to let up then we'll be back at it. Low tide was at 10:29am. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

If you're all mostly shooting adjustable sights it's fun to all guess first then you have to set your pin to that yardage to shoot. When someone's way off everyone's rolling with laughter before they even draw back. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
