Anyone having any luck hunting the Windy Days ?

I have had ok luck on windy days. I got my 5 pt this year on opening day with winds gusting around 20 mph. -
I prefer hunting in the 10-15 ft range. Don't think going much above this is going to do any good.

I process my own deer but have had a couple of friends that I usually would help but have been a litttle busy to. First does anyone know if Jerry on Lake ave in rochester is processing again? If not anyone near rochester still cutting them up. Thanks

Was in my stand for about 2 hours when this 5 pt walk within 15 yrds behind me. I didn't think he was going to give me a shot becuse when he first came over the hill he was heading away from me. Then for some reason he turned back and walked right down the ATV trail next to my stand. Took the shot and he went about 40 yrds and dropped. I know it's not a huge rack but I'm excited.

Great day you've got to love that you can't leave becuse there are so many deer around your stand. Thats a nice problem to have.

I'll probably hit the can a couple times. I've had good luck with it early in the season. Not sure about how the wind will effect it. I never seem to have good luck on windy days.

I have about a 45 min drive to our property. I wont lie I do like the fact that I can get out of work and head out for an evening hunt. But once a year I head to a small chunk of land that my dad has. We go up opening day of Shotgun every year.It's not the best piece of property but it's more about just getting away with my dad while he still can get out and hunt. I figure I have enough chances to get out the rest of the season.
