Any interest in a Remington Model 710 in .270

Took some pics. Sorry some are sideways and upside down but you get the idea. Last ones are of the scratches I mentioned. Any questions just ask. I can take more pictures if you want to see anything else. -
Beautiful pictures. Thanks for sharing. Would have loved to see the circus!!!

I grilled it with olive oil, garlic salt, mesquite seasoning, and a little crushed red pepper. Went well with the pork chops and fresh cukes in Italian dressing.

BBQ pork chops, grilled zucchini with olive oil, garlic salt, and some mesquite seasoning, fresh cucumbers in Italian dressing, and garlic noodles. Neighbor brought home some BBQ sauce from Wisconsin. Very good stuff.

Any interest in a Remington Model 710 in .270

I totally understand what you are saying Grampy but the LeFever was his last hunting shotgun and that is going nowhere except to my son, and then his kids and so on. I still use it to rabbit hunt. He had no love for the 710 and only bought it because I told him not to shoot slugs through the LeFever anymore. Again, more value in another weapon than both of us have into it. -
So my Dad gave me his LeFever 12 gauge a few years ago and he bought a rifle to hunt with us at our camp. He was on a budget and bought a budget rifle. It is a Remington model 710 chambered in .270. He has shot it maybe 15 times total in the last 8 years and I shot it 3 times last year to sight it in. There are a few scratches on the barrel as he fell a few times while walking through the woods with it. Last year at 78 years old, he stopped hunting. He gave me the rifle and it sits in my cabinet. I use my .243 religiously and have no desire for the .270 and would like another handgun. If anyone has an interest in looking, let me know and I can take some pictures to post up. It isn't the prettiest looking rifle but it shoots straight. It is sighted in for 100yds using 135gr Rem Cor-Lokt ammo. Going prices range from $280 to $350. I would be close to the lower end if there is interest and you pay transfer fees. Let me know and we can talk specifics.

It's more of a winter beer to me, heavy. I taste a lot of the coriander and licorice. Very good and would buy again but in the cooler months.

Have a heart trap is the way to go and once caught, relocate that sucker, preferably across a river from your location so you know he won't come back.

Taughannock Falls is on the West side of the Lake and about a 20 minute drive from downtown. There is a park on the lake side and lots of people fish there. My buddy and I used to launch his boat there and fish across the way at Milliken Power station and then hit the weed beds to the left and right of the park on the way back in. I also grew up in my teen years on the East side of the Lake at my grandparents cottage. Fished plenty of hours off the dock and caught several bass, black bass, carp, perch, and blue gill or sunnies. Chuck them spinners or spoons and bring some worms or minnows.

Regular burgers on the grill but added cheddar cheese to the 90/10 mixture to them so they didnt dry out. Wife made homemade fries.
