9k only deer to seem to be on feet in daylight are small bucks. Just wondering the woods like zombies. Few weeks off but warm temps are holding things up

It's early and weather has been tough. Don't over hunt it. Pick your days and move around

I will be taking off the first 2 full weeks In November. Will not hit the woods until then. I did hunt opening night. Focusing on work and family and then hitting the woods hard. Will be pulling all day sits for 2 weeks. Last year it took 10 straight days to get it done!!! Veterans day I have shoot 2 of my biggest bucks

Neighbors cutting firewood. Has not touched a saw all year. Opener for bow good day to cut. Next year I think I cut all he wood for him just to keep him out of the woods

Variable wind in 9k....hoping to see a fat doe to get some meat in the freezer

I will be redoing our fished basement. it was finished in 80s with old carpet and wood paneling . looking forward to update seeing my game room is down there.

I wish we were tiny. but we are both 6 2 240. great day.

11/12/16 will be a day to remember . Me and my brother took the last 10 days off from work. We hunted everyday sun up to sun down. Passed many small bucks but no shooters. In fact the last 3 days we didn't see a deer between us. Keep in mind we never left the woods (all day sits). Needles to say we saw the time dwindling . ... but we said we would grind it out. I shot my buck at 7:45am and he shot his at 8am. We each got the BBD text. My buck came in chasing a smaller 8pt. he grunted hard and snorted at the buck. he came in at 35 yards and my arrow found the mark. Never saw anything like it. His gunt lasted 10-15 seconds . as I was sitting letting a few hrs passI had a 9pt 4pt and spike come by. My brother let out a few bleats and had this 164 inch gross 10pt buck walk out of a swamp right into 15yards. He droped in sight. It all happens so fast. Hang in there guys and gals if you are getting frustrated .

Been up and at it for an hr. woods is quiet . I can here deer moving threw the timber. snuck right in on a beding area in thick woods. first time sitting this spot. hope scrapes are open when it's light enough to see.

Well been on stand all day. Had a shooter come by running a doe. Her mouth was open and breathing hard. he stayed in thick stuff @35 yards. that was @1:15. nothing since will see if they come back tonight . 9k

I have saw 16 confirmed different bucks this year. many repeat times. 2 doe...very strang

Day 1 of 10 here we go been in stand for an hr. Couldn't sleep. rut hunting is like every x ma's all rolled into one!!!!

Papist...I'm a licensed tracking dog handler down in 9k. I've tracked many deer over the years. I have never once met anyone who put the effort you did into finding that deer. We can all learn from you dedication to that animal. the shot placement look just fine. That was one tough deer.

I left my binos at home on an all day sit. my phone died as well. I swear I started loosing it loOKs at the goldenrod thinking there was a buck there

So like most guys and gals. I start my a vacation Thursday . ...11 days of glory. I've taken my last 3 archery bucks pulling all day sits. I plan on going the distance all day everyday until I have one hanging. how do you pass the time???? I will bring books, surf the net, text my dad and brother and hand held games.

Sounds like liver. I watched my biggest archery buck lay for 3 hrs before he put his head down and expired. bring binos and glass the area before you move in and bump him. good luck
