Come on man, 100's of millions of dollars wasted chasing a ghost. Thousands of un needed killing of deer chasing a ghost. Even if CWD does kill a few deer it's that last thing a deer will ever die from. Like you getting hit by a falling star. I can see watching something but when you cry wolf over one disease and say it's a killer but then never say a word about the same exact killer in another animal that does the same exact thing. States now like Michigan that thinks they can kill it off the landscape after Wisconsin spent millions doing the same thing and now have a herd they can't control. Bottom line is a person could/would get infected by either scrapies or cwd yet they worry not about scrapies. They can do the same test with mice, monkeys and such by shooting crazy amounts of scrapies into brains and make them positive. At the end of the day CWD is now doing the same amount of hurt to any herds of deer or any humans as it did 60 years ago and thats none. States that have/get cwd have more animals than they did before they found cwd. Wisconsin has the highest and they cant control their deer numbers by hunters alone...And thats a state with 40-50% infection rates. 75 deer per square mile in an infected herd of 15 plus years? Yup it sounds like cwd is really putting a hurt on those herds,

Bullshit...CWD is Scrapies just a different animal. Lay a map of scrapies in the Us overtop of a map of CWd in the Us and you will be looking at the same map. There is no evidence in half the crap he says.. Bunch of maybe and what if's. The only positives they have is that the only way another animal contacted CWD was by some white coat injecting 1000 times more CWD positive material directly into their brain with a needle that could ever even think of happening in normal settings. The only thing this has to do with hunters is the scare tactics they are putting into hunters. They should team up with PETA because they are doing a better job at getting rid of hunters across the country,

Shows how clueless you are. This has nothing to do with my farm or anyone else's. We are not going anywhere regardless of what becomes of CWD. If you really knew anything about the subject you would know that this was the ghost that states thought they could use to get rid of farms? How did that work for them? Just made our tested farm animals worth so much more? They proved to be working for us. The bottom line is you should be listening to the science and the facts and if you do that you really won't have a lot to think about. I can tell ya I know more about the subject then anyone on this site ever will and the scientist have already proven many of the statements made above to be false. Kinda like all deer CWD positive are carriers. Look at the science and you will see that a true positive has to be both node and brain positive to in fact be a carrier. They reference a farm in Iowa at 80% positive when in fact it was only 80% that were node positive and dig a little deeper and you will see where the state of Iowa had to pay that farm 3.2 million after they lost that case in court. Why would one be against trophy hunting? CWD has been found in 6 month old fawns. That fella there complains about CWD yet it does not change a thing in his hunting life. That tells the true story. Hunting is on the eye of the beholder. Is baiting bears hunting. Not really. Shooting an animal a dog chases up a tree hunting? Not really. Shooting a deer with a high powered rifle 600 yards out in a field? Not real tough there. Many would call that hunting while many others would say that's far from fair chase. I don't care if you ever change your mind about anything. It's just all the facts and science that shows you are not very bright believing things that have been proven not to be. Lol. Clueless post. You see farms are 100% tested and controlled so they will never be touched. Also when you look at the number of states with the ghost in the wild compared to how many states have in behind wire you would see the states with wild triple the fence cases. If anything, the states would come crying to the farmer for animals to rebuild the states deer herd after theirs all died off. Yeah I have always been one to live by the facts. And every fact on this subject has always been the same. One can believe what they like. Hell this guy here has gas CWD on his Wisconsin farm for years yet he still hunts? For what? Trophy hunter? Shoot and bury. Just to show how much they dont care...Listen at the 15 minute mark and the 29 minute and listen to this guy say that Scrapies is the same exact prion and CWD, Just one in deer and one in sheep and he has no concern of Scrapies ever entering a person.. he even says there are 30 different strains of scrapies found and only 2 strains of CWD found. Just listen to this guys words and you will hear him saying that CWD has never done any harm to anyone or anything yet they keep begging for money for research. Maybe if they keep spending enough cash looking for a ghost they may find a ghost. In the mean time the normal people...Us Hunters..That kill and eat these animals for the last 5o years never detect a thing... Great way to scare hunting right out of the world we know..Dont worry about age being the demise of hunting....Just listen to these fools.

Put the link up and let people on here listen to it and then if you have the scientific researched facts to prve them wrong then put it up. CWD has always been and always will be just a political money grab and as you see now that the money these guys are saying they need for research is being denied and its going away. Wisconsin has more CWD then any state and cant control their deer population...And that after killing like 27,000 deer in one core area.... Yeah its a beast that CWD stuff that is no more than Scrapies in sheep and not a thing is done by any state or country to stop the grocery store shelves from being packed with that meat.

It's pretty obvious this guy knows very little about CWD by him bringing up the 2 least ways a deer will ever contract CWD. Research And Science proven. Prob the same guy that told me 7 years ago that states with CWD would have no deer within 5 years. This Mike fella must be the maintenance man. Deer neither need to fight or breed to contract CWD. Fawns 6 months of age have been tested positive and out of the thousands of yearling bucks all you guys have on camera has any of you got a pic of a skinny yearling? Doubtful you will ever find a dead one dead for any reason. Vermin clean them up fast in nature. I cant imagine a sick thin deer getting any better with cooler temps really? If they are thin at this time of year when food sources are pretty much the best they have a health issue. Maybe a bad tooth, maybe a past mouth/jaw injury or maybe CWD but the fact is with the states all chasing a harmless ghost they will shoot,cut off its head,test and ask questions later. I would also bet that if a landowner did call DEC and show them that pic/video and they had no close officers to respond when called about it being in the backyard at that time they would give the landowner the green light to kill it. Its just a deer and not like they dont give landowner tags to shoot them all summer, Heck i could be shooting deer right now if i wanted to sign the bottom of the application.
