  1. Yes I think so, the surplus from the Clinton years.
  2. No you said "The only chart that matters right now" (about a chart that is not from an unbiased source) But lets look at YOUR second chart first: Roosevelt/Truman had war debt. Each of the following presidents lowered the deficit until Reagan, beginning with Reagan each republican president had higher debt at the end of their term than the beginning ending with Bush Jr who's 3 trillion dollar war doesn't even show up on your first chart (why? ask Libertyworks.com). The chart interestingly ends before it shows the deficit going down again under Obama. Only one chart has a source cited and it's a republican megaphone not to mention you ignored the question asked of you. It's not crying it's exasperation at the outright lies in the face of fiscal facts. I suppose the economy isn't getting better too. I know I know your personal economy isn't getting better and that's all that counts.
  3. Headed to Italy in September for 3 weeks but no hunting trip planned, but I will go out squid and tuna fishing.
  4. Right, i forgot, If it's not from YOUR source it doesn't count, If it's not what YOU deem important it doesn't count, if it doesn't fit YOUR narrative it doesn't count. Everywhere the GDP is the number that matters most to people who report on the economic health of our country but not the only number but the most significant, except in your world, in your world you don't have to cite a source you can just wing it. I'm curious did you speak out against Bush Jr. when he created the biggest deficits ever and the second biggest depression ever? I wish we had a record of where you stood then.
  5. I found this chart while collecting some old Economist Magazines for recycling, of course the Great Depression happened when Herbert Hoover ® was in office and this chart starts just after that. But i wonder why with few exception the Republican Presidents have had less GDP growth than Democratic Presidents.
  6. It obviously has meaning to someone, and you're right the hate remains. Thing is why should we fly the flag of the losing army on government ground? Why would we disrespect all of the Union soldier that died? When have we given the losing side in any war such power? You have all the right in the world to fly the Confederate Battle Flag at home, or your car, or your clothes. But displaying it on anything government issued or owned is an insult to the Flag of the United Stated of America. In America the pledge of allegiance is said while facing The Flag of the United Stated of America. Even a small bit of research will show the flying of the Confederate Battle Flag has been controversial since early in the 20th Century, the first efforts to remove the flag from government buildings were not about hate but because people did not want the losing side having a rallying point. Later the south itself turned it into an object of hate as they did not fly the American flag at lynchings, they flew the CBF. History is what happened and you can whitewash it all you want here in this forum but the truth is there for all to see. That the shootings in Charleston acted as a catalyst for the final removal of the flag from government space is a natural evolving of human emotions.
  7. no, one of the longest shelf stable fuels it literally is liquid wax.
  8. The change to the law would allow for families to pay the ransom if they have the means and choose to do so. Previously the laws prohibited paying of ransoms by families and they could face prosecution at the federal level. The new law would still bar the USA from negotiating or paying ransom money for hostages. While my personal belief is not to never pay, this change is consistent with allowing the maximum liberties to US citizens. However Reagan with the help of Ollie North found a way around the law.
  9. http://www.biblicalpolygamy.com/ I see a circle jerk and it's the ones spouting Biblical reasons for hate doing it. This dog is done chasing tail...
  10. Are you ignoring or does this nullify the rest of the bible that speaks often of more than one woman, rape, incest sexual slavery. etc? Are you picking an choosing which parts of the bible you're dogmatically following? Why if you're so against gay marriage because of the Bible are you not for multiple wives? concubines? and marrying children? as written in the Bible? If you are not for those forms of marriage how do you explain that? The fact is the selective verses religious types choose only enforce the hate you already have in your heart and no amount of Bible thumping is going to change that.
  11. America is not Greece, and if you really believe it is leave! http://www.dollarsandsense.org/archives/2012/0112millersciacchitano.html http://www.nytimes.com/2010/05/14/opinion/14krugman.html?_r=0 Not all debt is created equal. Countries that borrow in a currency they control play under a different set of rules. They can never run out of money to pay back what they owe, since they can always print what they need as a last resort. That's not to say they actually do or should turn to the printing-press to finance themselves. But the option to do so calms markets. After all, inflation is a lot less bad than default for creditors. That's why it's no so easy for countries that don't borrow in a currency they control. They can default. And this is a case where thinking can make things so. Indeed, as Paul De Grauwe points out, countries that don't have their own central bank, like euro members, can fall victim to self-fulfilling panics that push them into bankruptcy. In other words, markets force up interest rates because they fear default -- which then pushes them into default. It's a bank-run on a country. - http://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2013/03/no-the-united-states-will-never-ever-turn-into-greece/273748/ I know you won't believe it no matter how many articles I post refuting it, it's your narrative. In fact I suspect you who believe we will become Greece secretly hope it will happen just to say you were right. But you're not. I could write 15000 words (with pie charts) explaining why, but facts are irrelevant to you unless they fit your narrative. America has serious problem that need new ideas and compassionate solutions. You all say what is wrong with America but you aren't helping.
  12. Just for the record I would like you to point out where in the Bible (unless you've been speaking with God directly) it says marriage is between one man and one woman. Chapter and verse please. http://www.rawstory.com/2015/06/captive-virgins-polygamy-and-sex-slaves-what-marriage-would-look-like-if-we-actually-followed-the-bible/
  13. I'm sure it's a compliment, any woman who suffers us idiots is thick skinned.
  14. In the past marriage was also acceptable between a man and many women, a woman and many men, a man and his sister (in royal families she was the only acceptable mate for him), a man and his hostage and unacceptable between mixed races or religions (without conversion) or if the bride was not a virgin. All these have changed to a degree so anthropologically speaking marriage is a slowly evolving thing. (Where is your anthropology when discussing Darwinism?) Many believe Gay marriage will destroy the fabric of society, no Gay person has ever destroyed fabric. America was a beacon for all those oppressed in other parts of the world. It's first colonists came seeking religious freedom but very quickly on their heels came those seeking cultural freedom by escaping the labels placed on them in the "old" world, bastard, debtor, whore. Labels like those often meant a life of poverty. What does it say of America when the "old" world has surpassed us in tolerance and freedoms?

  16. If you want to make more money, stop questioning your colleagues' ulterior motives and concentrate on trust. http://www.apa.org/news/press/releases/2015/05/money-attitude.aspx http://www.forbes.com/sites/amymorin/2015/06/03/want-to-earn-more-money-study-says-your-attitude-affects-your-income/ http://www.fastcompany.com/3046958/how-to-be-a-success-at-everything/do-cynics-make-less-money http://www.psmag.com/business-economics/the-high-cost-of-cynicism http://www.businessinsider.com/why-cynical-people-earn-less-money-2015-6 Pick the most trusted source if any, all of the articles echo the same idea.
  17. Although my first experience ever with a shotgun was with a 10 gauge Lupara in Italy I have always gravitated toward smaller gauge shotguns, all my hunting shotguns are 20 gauge or .410 Bore and only contemplated getting a 12 gauge for Trap and Skeet.
  18. Except the .22 shortage is not only in New York and non nonexistent in some places. The scope of this board being New York I was curious as to the hoarder profile.
  19. oh right I never did report back. I have seen an abundance of deer, turkey and squirrel but have had little luck hunting them. The hill has plenty of squirrels and I've see bear sign, while the swampy area is where I've seen most of the deer and turkey. I have flushed a grouse almost every time I've gone walking or hunting in New Forge except when I went grouse hunting. I'll be up there in mid July and on and off again for the summer, I am looking for land or a house in Columbia county in that general area.
  20. .22 sales spiked the first year Obama came into office and has stayed high ever since. i am curious, I know what I see on Long Island, which has a higher black population than other areas of the state, I am curious what others were seeing.
