  1. I know that spot! Great pheasant hideouts after the dec release weekend and birds get pushed around. First deer I ever shot at (and whiffed!) was from those woods. First successful kill came from there too. Maybe that explains the twitch! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Is it going to go unnoticed that Pygmy watches (and can quote) South Park? Potential best post of 2019 contender. The peeled back layers of this little pearled onion we know as Pygmy never cease to amaze! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Quick sit in 3S with the bow in a management property. I would love to have a deer hanging tomorrow ....right next to the turkey deep fryer!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. You somehow made that sounds scary...I’m calling HR! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Ok, but one of those things we learn in kindergarten is, “keep your hands to yourself.” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Can you wait until you swing back through SE and grab my knives to bring along!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. He told me about that it was only brewed for them...I’m ok with that- makes it a bit more unique, no? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. He told me about that it was only brewed for them...I’m ok with that- makes it a bit more unique, no? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Another SHAT STORM blew through Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. No idea what i got here but the dude at Pelham’s Dececcio seemed to know his “beer.” The true shining star, High Life, not pictured Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Atta boy...happy day!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I will hunt the thanksgiving eve with an “emergency dismissal drill” at school nicely scheduled for that Wednesday. How I spend my FAVORITE day is at my HS Turkey Bowl game with my boys and then home for deep fried turkey and all the trimmings. No pressure- all food, family, football and some fun! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Atta boy pops! Cant wait to shake his hand at the next GTG! Pretty sure DEC just camps out at Amatos for the duration of the season. My buddy brought that busted up buck to confirm that puss from his head wasn’t a problem with the meat and DEC was there(confirmed all good!) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Wow...brutal night/day for this thread Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New Hunter

Welcome! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Careful with them Havalons....surgically sharp and sometimes tricky to change/fold. I like them but they are insanely sharp Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. And so that’s my concern...so many variables. I was hoping the electric sharpeners remove some of that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Full moons BLOW!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. So after butchering 3 deer; quartering down 2 more and field dressing 7 total I have learned one thing- I suck at sharpening knives using just a stone and those “pull handle” gadgets. Any good electric sharpeners out there for Santa to stick under my tree....keep it around $100 and you get a bonus tip! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Seems like a great price ...any first hand reviews here? https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1021666790?pid=421160 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Atta boy...knock one down today Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Subaru?!? Plastic is definitely needed for the blood but that won’t prevent the ticks from dropping and finding a new home. I love the carrier this year for the three that I had to transport. I even left the last deer on site to run home to get it. In the past I would just throw it in the trunk but not worth it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Need some beer advice for turkey day...blonde ales? Not too hoppy IPA’s? And then some serious juicy crap as well(double IPAs or New England IPAs ) I figure High Life covers all but just in case you guys know some others I should consider...pretty good beer selection at Pelham dececcio so give me your top choices and I’ll start there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Just got off the block....little button from yesterday totals are light but tasty looking 12.5 pure venison to be ground (no fat added yet) 3 pounds of cutlets from hind quarters 2lb “football” roast 3,5 pounds of shanks for osso buco Back straps (couple of pounds) Almost 25 pounds (after fat added to ground) of very trimmed meat. True confession: my tenderloins get thrown in with the GROUND!!! In my opinion, they are one of the most unattractive cuts sitting in the cavity with all that blown up lung and blood. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Columbia county where my buddy’s place is is 4Y (erroneously posted by me as 4Z weeks back). I get a doe tag ever year and it’s rifle....1:30 from 287. Hudson is a fun little upcoming artsy/foodie town - not sure if that’s a good thing or not! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
