As of right now theirs no Legal way to do a NICS check on a muzzleloader since its not federally a firearm, and it appears NYS has no clue how to do it either. Muzzleloader delivered to my house yesterday, sighted in today. Nys law supposed to go to ffl but federal law it’s not even a firearm.

I just ordered a MZ online, what are the chances it will actually show up to my door lol. Taking a gamble. Got next day air ship so it would arrive tomorrow if it does at all and they don't catch it.

Heading out in am finally, been awhile since I’ve been out Sunday.

Saw piles of deer sat in pa, 11 doe and fawns, small bucks. All the guys were out in stands on the other side of property when they shoulda been cabin hunting lol. Will be out fri and sun in NY. Unless my son wants to hunt pa Friday, he still has a buck tag.

Looks like ill be in my pop up blind on the elevated platform in the morning, not my best option but I'm not in the mood to sit in the rain since I'm heading to PA camp after anyhow and its on the border so works out. Checked it yesterday and it survived our major wind storm last week.

Every butcher shop here is at Capacity, some done for the season cause the have so many deer. Never seen that in my life.

Got 4 doe and large PA buck in the freezer ( with my sons deer), Were find on meat as the buck i got 75 lbs off. Next deer will go to a family in need.

I used a sled cause I hunt with my suv often, slides right in with no mess.

No shots fired at PA camp for the guys, TONS of small bucks, 4 bucks fighting at once, then a 7 and 8 fighting. Guys are still out now but I'm back at work, hoping to get back out Friday in NY, would like to shoot one more doe. Neighbor got the Big 7 point just off our property sat evening. Brought my son out sun/MOn to try to get his first buck, but no such luck.

We’ve seen a combined 25 deer this am. 9 bucks nothing over 2.5

Getting out of work tomorrow at 2 pm and gonna take my youth hunting nephew out for an evening sit. hunt NY thurs and Friday then down to PA camp with the fellas for some shenanigans.

I mean, just about every one shot before and after the sun anyhow, and most all states are this way. I like it

PA cams still firing, following 3 doe, cam is 1 hour behind, since this 2 spikes and a 4 pt have followed same trail.

Sunday morning pops got a 6 point. only deer we saw morning and evening, I was actually able to record it from my blind which was cool. wont be out again till thurs both my doe and his buck are hanging in the garage and i gotta take care of them after work.

Pops and I heading out in 7s tomorrow, was quite a bit of pressure in 7p where we were and the deer were on edge this evening. Saw a spike and doe but dad ain’t comfortable shooting 400 yards.

2 more fawns came by

7p doe down at 7:20. Dad had a few come by but had him pegged and let them walk.

Taking the Howa 308 out tomorrow, putting my dad in the stand I saw 23 deer from Sunday in 7p, we both have doe tags this year so game on. He will shoot any buck too, I’m selective. Bought a millennium m300 tree chair so I can move around comfortably on 400 acres.

Tomorrow morning will be my last bow hunt, going to a 200 acre property I just got 2 weeks ago and have no clue what to expect. Tons of tracks with trails and very thick off some standing corn and fields. St a stand the other day.

Just made a mad dash to my stand behind my house. Not expecting anything but what the heck why not the wind is right.

Pulled an all day sit today, constant deer came by 10-30 yards this am only for fawns and spikes( 13 total) nothing 10-2:30 pm, then 8 deer came outa no where at 3pm small 8 chasing a small doe, and a spike. 21 deer in total and about 50 turkeys! Had to yell at a doe to get her to go away at dark, she just stood at 30 yards while I walked out. I’ll be putting my dad in this stand sat morning.

doe and fawn just came by at 5 yards in a hurry, so I finally get to stand up and pee cause the buttons followed them. Mid stream nope they’re at 20 yards and don’t have a clue. Watching her back trail now
