Figured I’d have to wear way to much clothing to shoot this morning and skipped, going out around 10 in pa to sit till dark

Finally some chasing 4 bucks 9 doe 4 fawns this evening.

I’ve had enough, wind wasn’t too bad but the kids are gone and I want a nap! Only sat from 6-8 nothing.

9 doe 2 fawns so far, some alone some with fawns

Sat at 930 and a doe came by as I nocked an arrow, no buck on her trail.

I was going to get one this year because my nephew is 12 but can’t shoot the Weight yet. Thennn I found out he can’t use it until 14.

they just changed it to 25-30 mph. think ill take this day off.

I have not really seen chasing in 7s/7p, however have seen a lot of bucks just cruising around in daylight trying to locate does.

Good luck grow, debating if i want to hunt 9 am-3 pm tomorrow ( have to get the kid on and off the bus) or go catch some salmon in the tribs. I think hunt but its a coin toss right now.

Unicorn broken off spike walking around today, stopping to eat. Then a doe at 40 eating acorns. I feel like this rut is a ticking time bomb near me.

saw 3 bucks cruising the side of the roads 8-9 pm last night on my way to work.

Skipped hunting and went fishing 22,23, and 24 inch landlocked salmon for dinner. They are pigs!

Used to be like that, I try to shoot at least 2-3 does a year. I’ve seen more and more bucks since then. There was years I’d see 70-100 doe and 2 bucks, now it’s 40-50 doe and 15-20 bucks. I’ve already seen 10 bucks this year. And 30 ish doe.

Hunted last night in pa 4 bucks 11 doe no chasing at all.

Shot right under a nontypical 8 or 9 point tonight at 40, didn’t spook him though he hung around 70-80 yards, then passed on a spike. Still not chasing but are on there feet moving 1-2 hours before dark. Any day now that first doe in heat is going to set things off.

I haven't shot a deer with a gun ( besides the special dmfa season) In 4 years! i'm intentionally saving a doe tag this year till gun season to break in my rifle. I've taken 10 deer with a bow since then. 4 day weekends for 4 straight weeks begin when i get out of work at 7 am.

Just got a road kill 7 point, broken left rear leg. It pays to have police friends.
