Had a spike horn come out at 70 yards tonight in the usual spot all the deer do, grunted at him to mess with him and got him to 20 yards. That was fun. Iv'e seen deer on all but 4-5 sits this year, and i've hunted all but 5 or so days.

Below the knee I use the “shanks” in a crock pot with veggies, they fall off the bone.

i used eye of round and trim all the fat off. or you can just get any lean non marbled cut, also you can get lean ground beef if you want but tends to be more expensive, you want as little fat as possible or it will go bad quicker.

cabelas peppered jerky mix, half beef and half venison jerky is phenomenal, i make it in 10 lb batches.

young bucks are chasing does around already, i had a 2.5 yr old 8 pt around this afternoon in my stand, he was tempting but 60 yards out anyway.

I put the same nap sling blade through 4 deer, sharpened blades and put back in quiver. The deer I shot this year hit opposite shoulder and finally bent the blades. It would still work but I retired it. I always spin them and check sharpness, if good they go back in quiver.

I worked out this summer and for the life of me could not pull my Bow back for 2 weeks, rest it For sure. The good hunting is still a few weeks out.

9 rubs and 1 scrape within 40 yards of my stand I sat today, yeah ill be back there next weekend!

Well I watch 5 deer walk towards my truck in the field right at sunset, yup sniffing my back bumper. They stood 30 yards from me as I got in the truck and drove away.
