No, the comments are not being submitted, well, they are but it says they aren't, and so the temptation to double post is strong.

Bummer Dan. Try taking Beef gelatin powder (Great Lakes do a good one). It is chock full of amino acids, which the body uses to make proteins for repair and healing. Fulvic Acid too is good.

2 for 2 in of terms deer seen on sits. However, I was almost certainly winded this morning after just a few minutes. Despite prevailing winds, I think the topography around my 2nd go-to stand is creating swirls. The wind was all over the place and it looks like I had set up about 30 yards from a bedding area. There is a small Buck who haunts this spot and i think I roused him with my stink. He snorted a few times. Hung around for a while though and there was some doe off at about 80 yards. There was no immediate desire to flee but they all wandered off quietly in the opposite direction. Shame, this stand is surrounded by good, well used trails, but I may need to move it now .It was a lovely morning so I sat another hour but it was obvious the game was no longer afoot. Back for coffee. Thinking I might try my neighbors tonight. I was gonna save it for Tuesday morning. I have not been in all year, and decided to not put cams out there. I almost got a nice 8 there last year, but my scouting was too good. I ended up initially putting a stand right in the center of a major corridor but with too few shooting angles. Stand is now off to the side. I have yet to do a morning sit in this new position. Exciting.

Mechanicals on a light arrow are known for bad penetration. Some folk are moving to heavier arrows with brass inserts to compensate. I compensate by not using mechanicals ;p

Not the worst beginning to a season. It was pretty warm out there this evening, and approaching last light. I thought I might not see any deer at all. Sister Woods decided to be kind however and shunt a couple of doe past my stand. I thought the lead doe was a yote at first, seemed short, but she was using the side of the creek to creep along before heading into the oak stand I was hunting. Almost certainly sister doe, two siblings who were fawns last year and who came by the same trail with Moma a few times. I went through the aiming motions but decided to leave the family intact. We lost a lot of doe on our hill to those 2 bad winters, so this will be my 3rd no-doe season anyway. I was not detected, stand proved itself again and the wind was perfect. The Evercalm I had placed on surrounding trees seemed not to get much attention. At least they didn't spook from it.

In for Lunch. Couple of Gobblers but no Brown. The torrential rain this morning ruined my morning sit. Lets see if the Pm stand fairs better. Lovely afternoon. Back out for the magic hour later. Oh, and did a little scouting on the way in. Found an enormous hoof print. Hopefully it's Big Boy, the 6 year old 10, still on his feet

Hunting with scent lures in early season

I went out earlier today and daubed some trees circling tomorrows stand with EverCalm so I don't have to do it in the field first thing. I also EverCalmed a tree in front of another camera by a different stand. Be interesting to see if it gets attention. First time using -

I've seen good things about those Scent Crusher products. I might stump the cash for the sports bag version. -
Getting nothing but doe on cam lately. Hopefully they bring in the Big Boys soon, preferably this Saturday morning!

Flu shots are a waste of time. They never get the strain correct. Impossible to predict

Perfect wind direction for me.
