That is the key to have them out for sometime. If they are out there then they get more used to it. The environment change is the biggest thing they notice with blinds. I hunted my blind on state land last year and didnt have any luck because of the constant change. I had my best luck just sitting on the ground next to a tree.
Well my first year went great!
Sitting on the ground is a hard thing to do.
Saturday we saw 4 coyotes I was able to get one of them with my crossbow.
Sat night I was able to harvest my first ever deer! Was a nice little button buck but hey he was my first one.
Sun I was ready to wait for a mature deer, it didn't happen till the PM but wow worth the wait! She was 40 yards away and I got a perfect heart shot!
I can not wait till next season!
All shot with Barnett Ghost 410
Oh yeah here is that heart shot!
Ha I don't sell it, just sponsored by Deaux Girl. More of a fisherwomen. This will be my first year hunting, it will be with a crossbow. Im excited for Sat
It is confusing since they are treating the crossbow like a firearm. You have to be 14 to hunt with a crossbow, and have a ML tag, Also you don't need a bow course. So you would think all the firearms rules would apply.
I didn't find it bad. some people have no idea that it's hunting season. Although it is an issue having your pets chasing deer at ANY time throughout the year not just during gun season. On a piece of private land that i hunt i had 2 5yo bucks and 1 4yo buck on my trail cams every day, until i started getting multiple pics of a pit mix and small shepard mix. Deer were gone...
they are fairly warm i would throw a few pairs of thermals under them for a 20 degree treestand sit however. usually if its that cold i wear cabeals berber fleece hard to beat that for the cold temps it has wind sheer lining that's amazing.
