  1. Er, second screenshot is that field. I fertilized it pretty good last year with 10/10/20. It's a shade under 2 acres. Better screenshot attached.
  2. Oddly enough, everything worked with no issues today. Weird. Old Fergie started right up, took 5 gallons of diesel, 2 quarts of oil, and a gallon of hydraulic/gear fluid then ran hard for 3 hours. First plot is disced, plot K1 in results below. This week will be fertilizer and another discing, planting clover and oats in a couple weeks!
  3. I don't think there's one anytime soon man. Seen some "outlet" sales since Feb thats about it. They also don't do the 20% off thing for their real mainline items, but usually attack pants and guide DCS jackets are on that list. I've got a 15% off your total order coupon burning a hole in my pocket that I got from customer service. Bought their training beanie, which was listed as "Fleece". Yeah the thing was a black, thin head condom made of spandex. There was nothing fleece about it. And for 20$ it wasn't worth the time/effort of paying the shipping back to them. I got a hand written note apologizing about it after I wrote the email and the 15% your order coupon afterwards. They seem to want to avoid any negative reviews, but I still put a bad review on the hat. Company seems like it's diverged from ultra light mountain gear to mainstream, "what can we make money on now". I was eyeballing those I really like the attack pant + https://www.kuiu.com/strongfleece-hybrid-260-zip-t-hoodie/40029-V2-XL.html for Turkey Season last year.
  4. Yeah I was reading about that. The Indian Creek choke available for Mossberg accuchoke is a .675, the undertaker is .665. We'll see which is better for the #5 XX's. They're gobbling their heads off at my house this morning!
  5. My hillside property is getting logged this year, gonna grease the loggers palm a bit to widen a few spots then feather the edges myself. Thinking clover and rye. Maybe make a proper plot in one spot.
  6. Full agreement, extremely cool thing to do! If it wasn't for the ammo shortage + stupid NYS pistol laws (I already have a pistol why do I need to wait god knows how long to get another?) I'd run out and buy another pistol right now.
  7. This week might dry out my upper plot enough to till soon, when I pulled soil samples on Friday it had about 2 inches of snow on it. Deer are still hammering the turnips from last year!
  8. Dude I guarantee I'm worse than you. What time, 1pm? Got kid soccer practice til 1130 Sunday.
  9. Man, this would be awesome! Sign me up!
  10. I've been thinking about spraying this year, but can't justify it yet. Once I get my hillside plots plots going I'll probably do some spray on them. Seems like the combo of brush hog + disc keeps the weeds down enough on my big plots.
  11. You and the Buckmaster both recommend, I ordered it last night. Indian Creek is out of stock. Let's hope it tightens the pattern up a bit, at least to 40. I'd be happy with that.
  12. Think I might order that undertaker, and has anyone tried the Truglo TG182X in the old Mossberg 500? Willing to try a couple others, and return them to amazon if they don't improve things at all. Also open to suggestions!
  13. Yeah the old 500. She's 29 years old this year, and my first gun. Don't really want to put her out to pasture. I've tried the 2 in the title thread, that's it other than the Full choke that came with the bird barrel.
  14. Well if you see ant online holler! Everywhere seems cleaned out in the Albany area.
  15. Yeah I agree. Starting to think about a real turkey gun. What's freaking odd is I've dropped some birds with this gun at 50+ on multiple occasions, and that was with the old full choke tube. Also wound up chewing on alot of pellets.
  16. Continuation of last year :. I had to tweak the rear sight WAY to the right and she finally started slamming the targets today. Also seems to like the XX's more than the Xr's.
  17. Anybody listen to Meat eater? I don't, yet, but they come up often enough on my Google feed that I've gotten curious.
  18. I'm gonna give the old Mossberg 500 another chance this year for turkey. Need to start shooting again soon. Missed 3 birds last year with her, but going to blame myself. New choke tune should not be culpable. If it doesn't go well I'll look into a for real turkey gun.
  19. There's alot of people on here who appreciate the effort you made Eddie, sorry to see you go. Lord knows I've had to take a couple breaks from the site. You're doing the right thing, when your aggravation is exceeding your enjoyment it's time to take a break. Moderation on the internet is about as thankless a job as you get. No point in getting down in the muck on this one, the damage is already done.
  20. Did a couple sets tonight on the top of the hill, no answers. Still snowshoes up here. Went out about a mile from the truck, long walk back. Gonna head home, refuel and do some sets with my buddy down in Feura Bush area. No pack boots or snowshoes sounds nice.
  21. @ryno botmabotma Holy crap, Buff with a compound walk and stalk?! I'm guessing you guys have to back them up with a .450? Was reading some Capstick and Hemingway this week today and realized missed your yearly post.
  22. Nope. Steal a nap on the couch in the cabin in early season. Only time I sleep in a vehicle is if I'm too drunk to drive.
  23. Thanks for posting it moog, I'm EE and should buy a new pair of knock around / work boots. Will keep em in mind!
