  1. Family if Ravens hanging out, eating apples about 100 away, kinda cool.
  2. Sure is a pretty evening. Be nice to see a deer or two. Maybe even with horns. Tomorrow I'm going somewhere I haven't hunted yet. Maybe pull the cards after dark tonight and see what's going on.
  3. Drizzling a bit here still, but the clouds are lightening up, should be done soon. Should I sit that spot? Or head over to the hemlocks on the side of the hill.... That doe that came out last night proves there's deer bedding near the hot spot. But the hemlocks had 2 nice scrapes near my stand..... Decisions decisions
  4. Rain WAS forecasted this morning, so I slept in. Magically disappeared from the forecast. Gonna do a few house tasks this AM then sit the afternoon. Cold front rolling through, should be good? Good luck to everyone out!
  5. 10 hours in the stand, hunting the hot sign, travel route between 2 bedding areas, November 12th, cold front just rolled in,and I saw a tank head this way last night. 0 deer seen. At least the sunset is pretty.
  6. Hey deer. Quit being ornery and come out. Been in this stand 8 hours. Don't they know it's the rut?
  7. Grabber 5000296 Cozy Hand Muff Brown https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IXZ5HVG?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
  8. Been back in for a bit. Let's hope that tank drops by in 3 hours or so.
  9. Start with a Merino wool baselayer, just my 2 cents. I just threw a fleece baselayer over my Merino wool and the shakes stopped almost immediately. I'll throw my down pants and jacket back on when I get to the stand. Also, @moog5050 muffs are the best for your hands. Last year's hand warmers, are not. They seem to lose heat after 4 hours or so.
  10. Evidently I'm not looking in the right spot. Gonna get out soon. Same spot for the evening sit.
  11. Man maybe it's the past week of heat, but it's frickin cold! Gonna switch to fleece baselayer at lunch.
  12. Diddly squat here. Didn't spook anyone on the way in. They're probably hanging out near my other stand I was thinking about sitting in.

  14. Let's hope this front picks things back up. Broke out the Merino wool baselayer, and on my way out to make the drive. Seeing that tank solo last night was good for the soul.
  15. Ah, whoa. Tank of a buck just crossed the lower field headed towards where I moved that stand. Yep. Sitting there tomorrow.
  16. Something was trotting in this direction from the lower field, didn't get the binos up in time.
  17. Feet up, in the box blind, hoping somebody decides to roll through. Wind dies to almost nothing, was half tempted to grab the umbrella and sit in a tree. Already soaked from the waist down, pass.
