  1. Wind ain't right tonight Moog, I'll be in there tomorrow though. Moved it solo and cut 3 lanes with the pole saw, no quad, 1 hour and 45 minutes.
  2. Ok I need an objective second opinion: One of my ladder stands needs to move about 100 yards to cover an area that's really, really hot right now. It's warm, windy, and raining. Should I do that instead of sitting in the blind looking at the turnips? 10+ huge rubs in this area, sample attached.
  3. I think I'm going to get down and do a little scouting for tomorrow. Figure I have 2 hours before it rains, then I'll just sit in the box blind.
  4. I know it only takes 5 minutes to turn a season around, but, holy crap. I think I've seen 2 deer during daylight in 8 days of sits. Nobody wants tasty radishes?! This might be the last time I get a wind to hunt this spot. I know they were hammering this last week when it was cold.
  5. There certainly was enough if them in the frigging road this morning around 430. And every group I saw had a buck in it dogging the does.
  6. In and settled for about 15, pretty windy. This afternoon rain, probably be in the blind looking at the turnips.
  7. On my way out, good luck everybody, and thank you veterans for your service!
  8. Probably stole it because they were doing hanky panky in your dad's woods.
  9. A seminar on how there is no dead zone below the spine.
  10. Good times right? They can still wind you if you're soaked in piss, but they might be so worked up they ignore it. Always play the wind, they have noses like German Shepherds.
  11. Not a deer seen all day. Trail cam has the stud 8 coming out to the radishes right about now, last night.
  12. Well I'm giving it another 10 then gonna relocate higher up the side of the mountain. Someplace a little more deer dense.
  13. Dad came over late, but we got to shoot the new smokepoles a couple time. Looks like mines about 10 inches low at 50, his was pretty close to 0 for iron sights. Ran out of daylight but everything worked great. Need to order some more of those Barnes 200 gr.
  14. I'm hoping as the sun creeps over the top of the hill, somebody will get too warm and breakout my way to hide in the hemlocks.
  15. I've been sitting here for 3 hours and only just now did I notice the rub 20 feet from my stand.
