Be very, very careful cutting leaners line that if you do. I was taught to cut half way through, top down, then cut half way through that in the opposite side you want to finish, then cut the remaining 1/4 from the other side. If you have a tractor handy give it a tug when it's almost ready to go so you don't bind your saw.

Live from the crabapple tree out the back door, 2 fawns. Mama is probably out peddling herself around town while I watch the kids. I should really out a stand up in back, big bedding area behind my house.

Neighbor said his property was nuts this morning, deer in a frenzy. Big bucks should be cruising around by mid week I hope! Probably got ladies to tend to right now.

That was entertaining. 4 deer come hauling through the woods, followed by a doe with a little spike horn chasing her. They go round and round for about 10 minutes with his ding ding hanging out, he keeps trying to mount her but can't reach, she's too tall! Eventually she stops in a hole facing down hill and he gets it done. @Pygmy the spike horn! I also learned that Tinks is 100% useless. After that, right around 445 another spike comes in, following their trail. He walked within 10 feet of both scent wicks, never even glanced at them. Stayed right in their scent trail.

Of course a spike was in front of my stand when I got back. So I saw a deer. Taking a quick breather then back at it.

Out for a 30 minutes break, gonna run a drag on the way back in for the midday sit. Haven't seen squat. Conditions couldn't be much better, let's hope it's evening that does the trick. Good luck Hockey, great deer John!

"You're hunting again tomorrow." "Yep." First time I've hunted 4 days consecutively in at least 9 years. If I strike out again today, maybe one more day next week before gun. One stand has alot of daytime activity, that's where I'll be.
