Took a little walk to check cams (3) and tote the turkey gun. Kicked up 2 does , 2 bucks and then a big boy. All close. Wind in my favor and leaves on ground made for quiet walk. Decent amount of daytime pics again . Brushed in our ground blind a bit. Found new scrape last time out on way into woods. Snipped licking branch , bagged and zip tied to mock by our blind. Notice pics on 11th of doe and decent buck. Day after youth hunt during legal shooting. SOB ! Been catching quite a few coon , fox and turkeys on cams Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ok. Checking cams and taking walk. Winds in my favor and leaves on ground makes for really quiet stalk. Could have arrowed 2 does 2 minutes ago and just now a basket 6 and little 8. All bedded in hardwoods 50-100 yards from top of mountain and field edge. 2 different groups about 150 yards apart. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Going to check cams so just grabbed a slate call, turkey thumper and maybe strike up a conversation with a Tom. Only 2nd attempt ever at fall bird hunting. 1 for 1 so we'll see. Heard gobbles during youth hunt and many pics on cams. Ironic I've got a bird on the smoker right now. Pretty windy so not expecting much.

Stirups. Makes it a lot easier to put feet in and out without having to bend down. I still need to modify mine, although first need to order them.

I burnt my leg on those more than once , hole in a sleeping bag, them suckers threw some serious heat. They had a little slide latch you could light a cigarette from. As a matter of fact I just saw it in my junk drawer the other day.

I bent my slug gun barrel horribly years back. It shoots four feet left at 50 yards but I've learned to compensate very well . Sometimes it's weird not even having the deer in the sight picture of the scope -
