  1. biz you notice any indication of breeding or chasing where u are, I'm in north salem so can't be more than 20 miles, I haven't seen one buck here during shooting light.
  2. quite so far in northern 3s found a small scrape 10 yards from my stand hoping the guy who made comes to the estrous I dumped in it.
  3. sitting in northern 3s had a nice coyote spook 3 doe tried lip sqeeking him in but would not come closer than 50, about 20 mins later 2 doe came thru, holding out for a buck

  7. its last known address is minutes away from my 15 acre piece of land i hunt.
  8. lol ill be hunting north salem sat and sun, let you know if i spot it!
  9. Agreed, keep an arrow knocked trek slowly in case hes bedded and you spot him and have the time to put a second arrow in him, i kicked up a doe last weekend twice before i could put a second arrow in her to finish her off.
  10. keep tracking dead deer cannot be far with like that, was the arrow broken off at all?
  11. shot this mature doe Saturday at 1pm, walking to the blind we see a small basket 6 bedded 40 yards away knock an arrow he takes off. get to my blind to see a spike and a 4 point sparring it out for about 5 mins while a doe sat there and watched. I spooked them away so I could get into my blind. not 30 minutes later this doe and another smaller one come into 20 yards to feed on a small food plot I have, waited for what seemed like an hour for her to turn broadside but she never did. took a shot as she was quartering toward me whack saw her jump and the arrow exit a little back, thought it was a good hit cuz she was wobbling and moving very slow. waited an hour and went to see what kind of blood and what arrow looked like, I had good blood on the arrow and ground. I tracked her about 50 yards from where I shot and kicked her up out of her bed she was moving super slow so I knew she wasn't going far, kicked her up a second time and this time I backed out to wait a little longer and get my bow. at 4 I went back in at the last place I kicked her up with my buddy, we walk about 30 yards to see her bedded on property line, had to knock another arrow and finish her off before I lost her for good, second arrow did the trick, turns out my first arrow hit a little far back and broke the hip upon exiting. first kill with the bow and I got a little doe fever can't wait to get out there and take down a buck now.
  12. 3S had a spike and 4 sparring for about 5 mins while a doe sat there and watched, don't think we're in seeking yet cuz 2 doe came in alone but action is picking up from last weekend, I'd say we're a few days away from seeking
  13. 3s walking to my blind bumped a basket 6 then about 50 yards in front of my blind i had a spike and 4 point sparing with a doe standing right there, they had no interest in my grunts.... they run off about 30 mins into my sit nice plumb doe comes into 20 yards, she took a broadhead to the chest just waiting on her to expire, first kill with the bow

  18. slowest day of the season so far, been in the stand since 6 and the only thing to show is a raccoon at first light, high winds have the dee hunkered down, hoping due to lack of morning movement and cold front they will be on their feet this afternoon
  19. someone posted this video yesterday in a similar thread, none the less all sitka films are amazing.
  20. all sitka's videos are top notch and put things into perspective i recommend everyone watch them, i've been watching two a day all week on my train ride in and out of the concrete jungle.
