glad your old man found the buck, good luck hunting thursday i wish i was staying around to hunt it but ill be back on saturday and sunday hitting it hard hope we really see 12"

i feel you on that, but since your old man is retired id hunt all day, you shoot something and cannot track it you can have him pick up the pieces in the AM lol. i think its a dead deer as well with the high winds last night hes hunkered down some where close.

other than the spike at about 1015 had a doe blast by me full speed at last light, taking tomorrow off due to the high temps and going hiking with the girlfriend

that is true that is the only down side of them, but be hopeful that 10 years of ar's and no dmps builds the herd.

I believe you are right, antler restrictions in my opinion are a good thing, to many hillbillys shooting bucks that have yet to reach maturity, if u need meat for the freezer take a doe. a buddy of mine in an antler restriction unit for about 6 years now has a lot of nice deer on his property like 6 nice 8s on cam and has harvest at least an 8 for the past 3 year

peak breeding is over, few does will still enter estrous but majority is over especially when does are back with fawns

just had a spike mosey by the stand at 15 yards, let him pass tho it could have been my first buck with a bow I just don't take pride in shooting spikes or fork 4s.

28 here in northern 3s, got a late jump on it today due to zero movement yesterday and the new moon, hoping my luck changes today

sat all day saw two doe at about 1030 that was it, be back at it all day tomorrow with the bow see if I can't punch my tag on a buck

lol you got some nice trophies on your wall too, but I feel ur pain tho I haven't shot a buck in ny in 4 years let alone a 100 plus incher, but that's why I called in sick in hopes of connecting today

hes a beauty for sure, 3.5 maybe his body doesn't look huge but rack does!

look up a venison processor, i doubt anyone here is going to make it into jerky for you, or better yet go buy yourself a grinder, dehydrator, jerky gun, some seasoning, and a book on how to process your deer and do it all yourself.
