I'm out in 7a as well up and set up just after 4. Got 45 and wind chill is 37 and rain. It's perfect out! Hit what looked to be a running track just barely in the woods off the lawn. I'll have to check that cam on way out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Dude we get it, you have no issue hunting in the rain. Others do. I personally like hunting in the rain, as long as it is not a downpour, I see a lot of deer movement when it is raining. I am also pretty damn good at tracking deer. Others don't feel or want to do that. Back to the thread! I am dying to get back out. I got to show some presence at work but as soon as I can I'm up a tree. Now just which one. I love hunting Halloween night!!

Just had a spike go by way out. Swung behind me so I eased around to watch him and there musta been one coming the other way that saw me turn or the spike bumped and he hopped up the hill. Looked like another small buck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm just geared different cause if I leave a deer overnight the yotes will get it 90% of the time. I was just wondering if you started the trail and didn't like what you saw, or the deer did not react well.... that's all. It's plenty cold enough. Good luck in the am! 10/30 pm 48 Out behind the house in the far stand. Wind died down nice after that wicked wind and rain. I had the unicorn buck (4pt) do a big semi circle around me. He was just easing along eating. Did not look to be actively searching.

How much do you shoot your deer rifle/shotguns

I don't shoot many of the deer rifles or shotgun or ml maybe a dozen shots a year. I shoot a Lot of pellet rifle and 22 so my overall hands on is not too bad. But there is not much to shooting out to 200 yards with a rest and I don't shoot farther than that and 95% of my kills are under 75. My bro braved the rain this evening and has a doe acting hinky around him then 30 minutes later had a nice buck hot on her trail. He couldn't stop the buck or call him off her trail. It's been raining steady here and does not look to stop any time soon. 1-2 inches today 2-3 more tonight. Wind supposed to pick up over 20 later and up to 35 tomorrow. The extended forecast looks like I may be getting wet off and on over the next 15 days. That's more like bow season!! You guys with better weather or outa state good luck today!!
