You can't group all ladder stands the same. You have the cheap 15 foot basic ones. These work fine you just need to find the best spots. I find these work in a multi trunk tree. I have one that is 19 feet like this. I bought 4 and took one to add one extra length to the rest. I have it in a tree with 4 trunks. It is perfect. Sit and lean into tree behind. Stand and lean on tree to right. Then there are real nice ladder stands. I have an X-stand. 18 feet. Rails, fold up seat, drink holder..... No matter what stand you are using you need to watch your back ground and cover. A bunch of guys already gave good advise to brush it in. I find ladder stands to be very safe and sturdy as I get older. Putting up hang ons is just not fun for me anymore. I also have my climber if I feel like being somewhere else.

10/1 pm 62 Went fishing between sits. Got out for 1.5 hours tonight out behind the house in the far stand. Had a yote go by too far out. At about 6 had a flash out front and see a deer running in the pines? Then I see it again 5 minutes later then what I'm 90% sure were two small yotes running in the pines the other way? Got me lol. 10/1 39 Down in the deep hole stand for 4 hours. What a nice morning. Unbelievable after decades I got in stand first morning and nothing forgotten and everything in the right pocket lol!! 15 minutes before legal I move my head a touch and dang there must have been one right in the back of the lane straight out who could see better in the dim than me. I saw ass and tail. Sat still for 3 hours. Heard one walk behind me. Also had a yote go by my side no shot. I stand up slowly to stretch and doh get busted by one that snuck in the brush out front. Lol sit here still as can be for 3 hours not seen a deer since 15 minutes before legal. Stand up real slow to stretch the old legs and yup spook one that snuck in the thick out front. What ?! This fat guy beat you ? I ran 25.09. Daughter passed everyone on the outside. I was yelling for her to wait up but earbuds in and didn't hear me. Whoosh , she was gone lol. My last running experience was about 14 years ago. 5K day before club championship at CC I belonged too. Ran pushing regular stroller. Daughter kept yelling I'm outta snacks lol. Lining up putts the next day sucked. I was completely sucking wind this time , shirt was soaked and shin splints. Fun otherwise. Looking forward to next year minus about 30 pounds My course has a lot of uphill!!! Lol 8.35 minute miles ain't shabby. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The big boys have pretty much disappeared off my cams. The wide one has not shown in a month the other few it has been a couple weeks. Food patterns change quick so at least I know they are around, just eating somewhere else right now. My best shot prbably will be around Halloween unless one screws up before that.
