Took the 6 year old out tonight. 10 min into hunt sitting on ground a doe walks in behind us. I had her dead to rights at 20 yards wack....hit a 3 in round tree 10 feet in front of me...oops. she took a few nouns back. 30 yards took another shot. Sounded really good no arrow no blood walked her trail out 3 or 4 hundred yards no blood or arrow. Must be buried in leaves. I hunt alot of stateland and have never gone near the vehicle next to me to see if they left a note. Nor will I ever. It depends on situation and parcel sometimes I'll park where another car is knowing that they didn't go where I want to. I'm also the guy who come 9 am I'm walking around trying to get the deer up and moving and do tend to see guys sometime. I always swing wide when I run into people to try and jump deer to others. I kill a few a year on stateland and enjoy hunting it and meeting some of the guys. Even the ones who think it's a good idea to chat at 7am on the way in. Don't worry so much 99.9 percent of the people I have met are nice guys hoping to kill a deer. If you see them head away and out. If it's impossible and you have to walk by them (bc of cliff or something) just do it as quiet as possible. Another thing I do is if I see guy first and I'll give a little whistle (nothing crazy) and a slow hand wave to make sure we both see each other. It's not bad lot of land and if willing to get away from road there are deer to be had. Getting better as season goes on. I hunt there a few times a year the changed all the rules this year. Alleghany state Park and Letchworth both have nice deer come out yearly... IMO it's about food, pressure and how smart the deer is. A smart deer will get big anywhere bc they go nocturnal and also have luck on their side. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

No but if he's a good friend and finds out I bet you won't be coming to the parties anymore. We all have to make choices and test our morals and ethics. You made your choice. I think I would have done the same depending on what kind of friends we were. But if it was a really close friend I think I would have tried to talk to him a out it first. But that's me.
