The biggest winner is the corporate lobby that funded the crossbow push. They created a market by buying influence though the political system and then changed the law to support their newest venture. They knew they could count of the lemming like consumerism that has infected the hunting community. When in doubt bet on consumerism.

Crossbows belong in the regular season. And should only be allowed in the archery season for the disabled and elderly. The difference is huge. A Hunter sitting in a stand with the weapon already cocked, with no time constraints and not having to draw in the presence of game is huge and fundamental difference . Let's couple it with the fact that using battery powered or cranks as cocking devices a able bodied hunter doesn't even have to be physically capable of drawing the device.

Only the very southern end of Sch county is in the watershed. I redid our septic at our house in Windham, going on 4 years ago. I was allowed to repair it without meeting current watershed requirements, due to grandfather clauses in the watershed agreement act. However the DEP offered to replace the entire system, on their dime if I allowed them to design it. The engineering process was a 6 month back and forth pain in the ass. ...long story short they footed the bill, all 68k of it for the new system . Keeping in mind the house is 4800 sqf . I only tell this to illustrate the costs of building in the watershed.

The thing I find hardest to believe is that it needed to be written and the any rational adult doesn't understand it. I posted it because of the recent attacks on the 2nd amendment, in NY and other states as well. We are losing what forefathers understood and because of their understanding they laid the 2nd amendment as as one of the corner stones to our constitution. Look how far we have fallen.
