  1. Its great news, thanks for everyone who voiced their support.
  2. Yeah, other then the fact that more of those smaller / later born bucks survive, which in turn would could eventually lead to more 4.5 older bucks.
  3. No not really. Really doesnt matter what happens elsewhere to be honest. Not pushing it on your or BrownAndDown "SteveB". Thats great you ahve 1.5's with 6+ Points... Now the rest of the area's with AR's can see some of our 1.5's live on to have some more potential and meat on them.
  4. No they are not, and even if they were that 50% of those would make it to live on.
  5. Hah, I just posted about that too. I'm excited.
  6. Who is excited about the Expanded Antler Restrictions? I'm all for it. Right now WMUs 3A, 3C, 3H, 3J, 3K, 4G, 4O, 4P, 4R, 4S and 4W have AR's. Added for the 2012 season were WMUs 3A, 4G, 4O, 4P, 4R, 4S, and 4W. I have a spot in 4S and 3H that I'll be hunting this year. Hopefully 4S will see the same benifits that 3H has seen over the past few years by letting the ~ 1.5's survive.
  7. I won't have a problem this year with them shooting any legal AR buck, so not sure what your talking about. Its not about the horns, get that through your thick, ignorant head. I'm not asking EVERYONE to adapt to what I want, the State is telling you to adapt to what the MAJORITY WANTS. Get over it man...
  8. Ahh I understand, its because you don't want to show all those sweet 90 pound spikes your bagging.
  9. Yup sure, thats why your complaining about not being able to shoot yearlings with "all" the great deer you and "your crew" are getting...
  10. Thanks I will enjoy the 2.5's and older deer that are saved from guys like you. Help balance our herd out, and get some deer with a little more meat on the bones. Don't get your panties all up in a bunch because YOU can't shoot a yearling any more, its not the end of the world, and its for the betterment of the hunters in the state now and for the future.
  11. What your saying is the majority of those that want AR's (based on every single report out there) should suffer because you and your buddies want to shoot everything out there? No wonder our herd is so messed up in NY.
  12. Could not agree more. Same here... I hear crickets, Steve? Larry? you two around? Oh nope, thats because NYAntler hit the nail on the head.
  13. Funny over the last few years you were tring to speak for our area's. What comes around goes around. And these are not theories, deer management and head health is a proven fact. Your just mad because you can't shoot a immature buck next year.
  14. This is where your ingorance on herd management or just the complete lack of care of the deer herd and the future of hunting shines. You keep mentioning antlers, it not just about the antlers, its about age. You keep mentioning restricting others, for what? One year while those immature deer grow older, bigger, stronger, more meat? It has nothing to with making it easy and putting in the time and work. I hunt a lot, expecially for one that works a 9 to 5'r. I bow, muzzle and rifle hunt. AR's has improved the herd over the last 4+ years it more ways then just antlers as you seem to cling to. The majorty agree's with me as its been proven time and time again in the DEC and non DEC conducted surveys including the simple poll on this topic.
  15. After all your amazing hunting experiances all over the states as you brag about you would have thought you would have learned a few things along your travels. Clearly your old, but not wise. 70% of the deer taken in NY are fawns and yearlings, I do not undertand why there is no much hate and controversy over letting the small ones walk. You really can't let them go?
