I just read her ur post about the animal sounds and her whole expression changed lol. I don't wanna carry a lot of home comforts and take away what camping really is. What would you say the must haves are plus maybe a few luxuries?

It's not to big. It's a 2 person dome tent. Still trying to figure out what I should and shouldn't take.

Thanks grampy work has been crazy. My supervisor is out for 3 months so I'm covering my position as well as his so the overtime is nuts. Lawdwaz since it's our first time, we are going to Clarence Fahnestock park for 2 days just to get the feel. I probably would've done something more remote if it was just me but the misses is a city girl so I'm easing her in to the outdoors.

The misses and I just bought a tent. We plan on going in July on our first camp outing.

What are a few great hiking locations within 50 or so miles of nassau county that are moderately strenuous. In other words not to easy but won't kill me either lol.

Everyone that commits murder already knows that it's against the law and the same goes for every robber. Criminals by definition break the law. So what about creating a new law would make them decide they shouldn't be criminals any longer. Only law abiding citizens follow laws and they aren't the ones committing the crimes. New laws would only put more restrictions on the ones not committing the crimes and have no affect on those who make a career out of breaking laws.

Sihks are the ones that usually have the turbans and they are one of the most peaceful and compassionate groups of people you will ever meet. I know a good bit of them. Every day they open their temples up to anyone that is hungry and they ALL eat together. It doesn't matter if ur rich, homless, or just hungry. They treat everyone with respect.

I hate that. You could be talking about your kids just to have them jump in and talk about what fido did.

I'm figuring if things continue to progress this way, in the next few decades hunting would be banned because it hurt the deers feelings.

Yea mine is the ultra hunter with the heavy rifled barrel. Was planning on taking a different firearm but I think this will do just fine if I get lucky enough to get a shot at one.

You're the Man VJP yea I was def looking at Sussex and Warren, they have the highest beer population respectively. I'm going pick up that non resident a lil closer to beer season and who knows I might get lucky with an NY and NJ deer and a Jersey bear. That would make for an awesome year.

I went on their site and it looks like I can't apply for it until september. I didn't see anything regarding classes. The only thing they wanted was a previous years license or a hunters safety class certification, child support info if applicable and for you to get a hunter id number from them before y I u apply.

I'm gonna try my luck at getting a NJ non resident permit for black bear this year. If I'm lucky enough to get one, what do you do as far as protection from bear when scouting?

Gun violence, common sense gun laws, anti gun violence, universal background checks (which existed since or before nics) are all the same thing. They started using these terms when terms like "anti gun" became too polarizing. They live on the premise that to prevent gun violence, you must prevent guns. If you don't know this you haven't paid much attention to the politicians when their language shift from one phrase to the next. They know they can't come out with blaring signs that say gun control or anti gun. When Obama speaks do you hear him say gun control or do you more often hear him say prevent gun violence and common sense gun laws?
