I go to all of them and the ones I don't I'm there via speakers phone. I'm going to ask at the next one since this didn't come up until today.

All I know is that i don't get how she isn't being taught US History. I understand it's a seperate class, but it's still a class that she doesn't have. Hell when I was a kid we had the president posted all around the class.

Are you guys noticing this or is it just NY (Long Island to be exact) ... One of my girls is in 3rd grade and she is learning world history but none of it includes US history. Hell they've learned about China, India and they haven't anything about here. I asked her if they ever spoke about George Washington and they haven't.

I hunt because it's incredibly fun to hunt and being out there is very relaxing. Scouting preseason feels like it's where I'm supposed to be. It's gotten to the point that I catch myself reading, googling, or thinking of hunting in some form every day.

100% of the ppl at my job that I spoke to said they would vote for her. She pretty much has NYC on lock I think. I also think a lot of women will give her they vote in hopes of breaking the "glass ceiling" and putting a female at the helm. If republican and conservative turn out is anything like it was for the governor vote... WE ARE SCREWED

I THINK I'm done buying rifles for right now but the last one I got had iron sights and I really like it.

Why don't all hunting rifles come with iron sights? I know when I first started buying rifles I didn't like when I did see irons on them because I thought it messed up the lines. That was me not looking at it as the tool it's meant to be. If you're in the field and you drop your rifle and lose your zero or somehow damage your glass, you're screwed. So if a rifle is designed for hunting, why don't all manufacturers add them? Do you think it's cost or the buyers?

This compromise thing sucks lol. I miss the days of just doing what I want when I want. I guess I have some work to do. I think you long time married guys have the answer.

She's starting to get that it takes more than a few days because her coworkers husband travels all over the place to hunt so she knows. I think the problem is that she's pretty much a straight up city girl. Hell she's barely used to guns but being that they were here before we met she has to ride with it. I do know that if she doesn't wanna bend, I'll have a bunch of nights in the couch lol. I def don't see myself hunting less, it's only gonna increase. I already told her I have a few days planned already upstate for deer and def gonna try a NJ black bear hunt.

Not really. Talked about it a lot but did more target shooting than anything.

I know a lot of you guys are lucky to have a woman that let you hunt as you please but for those of us that have the opposite, how do you ease that drama? The misses thinks that a cpl days out equals a hunting season no matter how much I try to explain it to her. If I had it my way I'd be out until all my tags are filled or I zero out for the season.

That's exactly my point. None are what they used to be and they will constantly evolve and improve so why fight the use of any of them. Use what you like.

Is it just me or weren't crossbows around way before guns were even thought of and around barely less than bows? People are acting if crossbows are some new magical death dart from the Gods. It's a tool and that's all it is. Can you take a deer with a .270? Yep. Do is the guy with the 300 win mag wrong to kill a deer with an obviously more powerful weapon? Nope. Hunting is hunting. Use what you enjoy using within the law. Hell if someone wanted to use a Barret 50 and I didn't have to worry about it still going for a mile after it hit the deer, I wouldn't care.

Cigars aren't a habit. More like a hobby. Cigarette smokers can't go a day without smoking but cigar smokers can go months. I know that's the case with me.

Exactly. I'd rather wait until I can enjoy it than to just smoke one and rush.
