anything from savage is great.. they are American made and on paper straight out the box I have it in 30-06 and I love it.... not too expensive also comes with Nikon bdc scope accu trigier depending on what combo you buy

want to change my hunting clothing this gun season I currently use Yukon gear insulated pants and outer jacket works great but its too bulky.. want to go further in the woods this season and im looking for something that's warm and dry and that's not to heavy or bulky but also affordable any suggestions ?

I think Its bit harder for me because I hunt on public land and I hunt in an area where there is antler restrictions.... you really have to put in the work and time and with that I have came up short for the past two years

got invited to a hunt in the ADK's this deer season would be my first as well great advice guys im a bit nervous now reading some of these comments but the guys taking me are seasoned ADK hunters so hopefully everything goes as planned

So how do we make that clean shot out in the woods after all not everyone hunts in tree stands with gun rest and there is no shooting table and sand bags out in the woods what sort of improvisation do we use to make the best possible shot ? bipods tripods shooting stick or the old lean on a tree method

1 Everyone wishes there were more deer where they hunt but that's not realistic 2 if you only reason for hunting is to kill a deer or any other animal then I suggest you stop 3 if hunting was as easy as walking in the woods and walking back out with meat everyone would b doing it... just spending time in the woods is good enough for me don't even matter if see a deer or not im satisfied.

it's much easier for them to close hunting on these low populated areas as a way to get the numbers back up which would cost nothing but a few dmp than spend money to relocate deer which might just be the best thing..

ok so follow all the great advice these guys gave you, make sure u have all the required permits and spend some time in the range and hopefuly we could meet up on one of the hunts
