I'm a one shot kinda guy.. makes me concentrate harder and only take shots that make sense... I have hunted the adirondack with a single shot 30-06 for the last 16 years... one good shot is all I have

You didn't seem to upset about the "Pat's weed thread", which, by the way, I didn't start... I would be more worried about some of the things you said on there.. than the few comments I made

I'm not sure about hypocracy.. even though I'm not keen on his idea and style of hunting.. I have never heard him make any excuses for what he does... he's kind of an "it is what it is" kinda guy.

I shoot the flemish strings.. I'm sure that would be what he made you... What I like about using trad bow is that other than arrows (I pay about $125 a doz).. there is not much expense that comes after the initial cost of the bow...

I have to agree that I visit quite a few butchers and taxidermists during the season and most of the deer are young.. especially the bucks.. but to be fair .. that is just in my area... might not be the same in some of your areas

just responding exactly how I feel... I didn't think anything was so bad that we needed to leave anything behind us.. you're the one that has the problem with it.. like I said I just see it all as a little banter on a forum.. not all that important to be getting all jacked up about.

yep cedar with feathers... I just went to those a couple years ago though.. before that I shot Terminators... the wooden arrows shoot just as well... not as durable for practice though... so I only shoot a couple arrows at a time when practicing so I don't bust up a lot of arrows fom hitting one another in the target.

My website like this forum is done purely for enjoyment... if you don't go the the website because of something I said on this forum or any other forum... thats your choice and your loss... I have a huge amount of traffic on the site because its a good site with stuff guys wanna see... not because of any promotion I'm doing on here... the fact that I have a different opinion than some of you seems to really have hit a nerve... not sure why you are so threatened by something I have to say to the point where it gets you whining and crying so bad... I shoot of the shelf.. no rest.. more traditional and works great... brace hieght is extremely important so you have to work with that a bit

In this day and age with all the technology.. there must be a better way to get hunters to report deer.. I like the idea of everyone reporting, whether you get a deer or not... either by phone or internet

I'll being trying with the recurve exclusively again this year... I have had many good Tom's close, but without a good shot opportunity... still looking for my first with the recurve. Doc, I have eaten quite a few bow killed birds and haven't noticed that problem, maybe it has something to do wthe the type of broadhead used... I would think most sharp broadheads would clean cut the feather before entering the breast... not sure though.

That must really take some time to reload then... not that you expect a quick second shot when hunting with muzzloader.. but I'm sure you have to carry a tool to get the choke out.. right?

yeah i just use a broadhead too.. the arrow I showed is one of my real arrows...

I bet antler would be the first to be voted off the show. He better show up on time, not 5 to 10 minutes before or after. I'm pretty sure that close enough wouldn't count for much if you were trying to explain that 5 minutes before shooting light to an EnCon Officer...So I guess he would be an idiot for not overlooking the 5 minutes and confiscating your deer and gun, while escorting you to the local PSB. Don't ya just hate those "holier than thou" EnCon Guys???
