I'm not saying that at all... I'm talking about the drugs not the people that take them... if we could count on people though to always do the intelligent thing... we wouldn't need laws for anything... but because we can't count on people to do the right thing... sometimes we need to save them from themselves and the affect they might have on society as a whole. Having said that... if the majority of Americans wanted to legalize drugs.. I'm sure they would be legal.. that is not the case however

So true.. a good example would be why automobiles cost as much as they do... it is not the greedy auto makers.. the cause is because of the peoples willingness to pay whatever increase to own the latest and greatest status building auotmobile without regard for where it will take us as far as auto prices are concerned.. gas prices are no different... when gas prices rocketed to $2 a gallon.. big oil realized that Americans were willing to pay that much for gas because the demand remained the same... the same for when it reached $3... shortly there after demand dropped as did the the price of a barrel of oil.. but the price of gas didn't drop in proportion... because the price that people were willing to pay was already establish.. the same will happen now as we approach $4 a gal... demand may drop and even the price of oil may drop.. but that will not be true for the price of gas... and most of America will continue to fill up their tanks and go on with their lives as usual.. while blaming only big oil for the problem.

Believe me I know all there is to know about getting high.. I grew up in the 70's... a small glass of wine with dinner is nowhere near the same as a small buzz... spin it how ever you want.. high is high.. buzzed is high... drunk is high... none of which is good for dealing with reality... that fact that alcohol is legal has nothing to do condoning drunkeness... legalizing drugs would be legalizing getting high and condoning getting high because thats all you can do with mind altering drugs..

can't answer when I'm not here.. but now that I am... I have a glass of wine because I like the taste of wine with my meal.. as for you not melting into the couch... that is you perception of yourself when you are high... and like I have already said a person who is high doesn't see himself the same way others who are not high would see you... High is High... just like drunk is drunk. One does not smoke weed or crack, snort cocaine, or shoot heroin, because they enjoy the taste with a meal... they do it for one reason and one reason only to get High...which is an escape from reality.

so where are the facts in that article.. the only thing I see is that the US needs some kind of healthcare reform.. which isn't really true... We can go even farther and say that NY is second only to California as the highest taxed state in the country.. both states are predominantly Democrat... both states are currently in the worst shape financially of all states in the country... it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the common denominator here... Public sector jobs should not be unionized... not unless the guy who is writing the paychecks (ME & You), are allowed to sit at the table during negotiations sso we can say no to all their demands.

We need to stop political positions from becoming life long enployment for the power hungry by imposing term limits on all political positions... we need to eliminate their costly cadillac healthcare plans and taxpayer funded retirement plans... neither of which are available to the average taxpayer... we must be out of our minds to have given such power to political offices. These bastards have been misappropriating moneys for their own personal gain for far too long..

Gotta say I feel much the same as Ted... although for me the enjoyment comes from the hunt not the kill... In the past I killed deer without the nearly the enjoyment I get today from being far more selective in both the quality of the animal I hunt and the way that I hunt him.
