3 Bow Hunts With Big Rack Taken!
nyantler replied to TheFieldArcher's topic in Out of New York Hunting
Baiting isn't very ethical if you are hunting for sport... although if you were hunting for survival then it would be more than acceptable.... but there is no need to hunt for survival today... welll YET -
thats true Pat.. just 20 years ago the tsunami would have gotten here and elswhere long before anyone would have been warned... by the way it was 500 mph

Mixed Martial Arts aka MMA, "UFC" Who's a fan, Who trains?

Both of my two boys got their blackbelts in Taekwondo at the age of 9... martial arts helped them become respectful gentlemen... I am sure that it played a part in giving my youngest boy the strength and will to survive leukemia at the age of 14 when he was at his sickest. -
Headache would be mild term to discribe it I was fortunate to have two good judges that saw exactly what had happened and realized I was just defending myself. I forgot to mention that the individual also tried to file a civil suite against me... but when I filed a counter suite he back off and I dropped it. The judge actually said.." I have read all the witness statements and here by order Mr. Servello's pistols be returned IMMEDIATELY!" He then asked if I would mind waiting until the following morning so that the paperwork could be processed and I said yes... I had them in my hands by 9am the next morning.

I agree Doc.. The DEC need to be much more proactive in their approach to management

trained in martial arts for 28 years... black belt in wado kai 1983... 2nd degree black belt taekwondo... 1994 NYS adult middleweight sparring and forms champion... I also taught for 10 years... getting too old to fight, but still train when schedule allows... -
About 10 years ago I was coaching a summer lacrosse program and a drunk disgruntled parent jumped me after the game while I was walking my 2 young boys to my truck.. all I could do was react ... and long story short.. it didn't work out so well for the parent... he ended up in the hospital. A week later I was charged with assault and after about 6 months the judge finally threw out the case after looking at all the evidence and statements from all the other parents that I was just defending myself. A few months or so later the local sherrif showed up at my door and asked me to surrender my pistols... even after being proven innocent he said that he had to take them because Albany had the charge still in the computer.. it took 4 months and another understanding judge to get my pistols back. The system worked, but man it took a while!

should I write a speech?

I would definitely attend if my schedule allowed... be fun to speak instead of type for a change

when I was growing up (elementary school age) we had a village sponsored recreation day at a local park every day during the summer... in the morning we would shoot archery, do crafts, play ping pong, then in the afternoon we would have pickup baseball games.. all of which was supervised by some local higschool kids (their summer job) and our school gym teacher. The archery was fun and competitive.. I'm sure that's where I realized that I really liked archery.

There really shouldn't have to be anything done in the way of changing the season if the attitude of hunters would change... but we all know that isn't going to happen.

Sounds like a crab apple to me as well

Well we don't know that they would be the same for sure.. it was just an observation though.. I'm not saying one has anything to do with the other.. just thought is was interesting... another observation would be that Republicans had the house during the Clinton years and financially the country was at one of it's best times... does one thing have anything to do with another?? Can't say for sure.. but very interesting

The Strauss's are no longer in business... many of the pigs had escaped from the farm and I think they kinda got shut down to repair fences and they just never started back up -

Yeah I think the true lack of real competition is the problem with gas, cable TV, the power company... you notice that the cost of TV's, Stereos, cellphone plans, computers have all become affordable because of the increased competition... unfortunately though the services that make them useful are being monopolized. If we had a choice of insurances accross state lines the cost of that would go down as well I have always wanted to get the NRA term life insurance.. you can get a $500,000 dirt cheap.. except.. NY won't allow me to have it.. that is ridiculous
