What we need to do isn't as hard to figure out as how we are going to get the vast majority to do it... reducing gas consumption is the obvious thing, but america has become dependant on the automobile for just about everything... now days there are at least 2 autos per family.. when I was a young lad we had just one vehicle for a family of 8 and buses were available in every neighborhood.

I actually would rather it wasn't included in bow season (except for disabled hunters)... I would like to see it have a season of its own. But I still don't understand why the NYB is so threatened by it.

gonna be tough getting a good 9mm for $300... but you may find a good used one. law enforcement have been using Glocks... many of my police buddies have .380's that they use for carrying off duty.. they are less expensive and are easy to conceal.

I was on my way to saying just that....

It amazes me how we can send a man to the moon... but haven't figured out in 100 years of the automobile how to make an engine that gets 100- 200 miles per gallon... or come up with an alternative fuel that makes sense... we have been talking about getting away from the grip of foriegn oil since the early 70's... 40 years later we are no closer to an alternative than we were then. very sad

If outdoors people don't realize it is happening then it must not be important to them... what is going on can be easily found anywhere on the net now days.. and as for non-hunters opinions... who cares? The inclusion of a crossbow has the same affect on hunting as the inclusion of an improved bow or gun... we aren't talking about including F-16's and tanks here.

I didn't say anything about QDM or their standards.. I'm talking about passing on yearlings and using the "I'm a meat hunter" as an argument for not passing on them. Thats all. Very few people really just need a good dose of attitude adjustment , but you are one of those people.

Deer have been solving the problem of winter food by themselves for ages... much longer than we have been brainstorming how to save them from what they have been surviving through all these years... especially in the north country...
