Once they committed to go up the hill I threw the kitchen sink at him, he wasn't leaving that doe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just heard a loud buck fight in a thicket below a pond. Doe came out followed by four bucks, first one was a bomber, big heavy ten. He stood 60 yards from me for 40 minutes before the doe went in the pines up a little gully and he followed. The next two were small six and eight, they worked a scrape in the crabapple trees 25 yards to my left. Fourth was a spike. Amazing encounter Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk trail cam pic of the eighthes got the jagermeister stag look to him

I can hear mice farting. This may be the quietest I've ever had it in the woods Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just had the loudest walk in that deer hunting has ever known. Let's see if it pays off Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thank you. The prussik on the tether that came with my HSS doesn't cinch, it's too stiff

We had a buck a few years ago go 200 yards down hill, turn and go 200 yards back up, double lunged dead on his feet. I've seen plenty go up hill Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I feel the same way but I should stop whining, I had a great year last year when a lot of folks weren't seeing anything. I'm making some changes for next year, finding some new properties Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

And here we go, good luck all. I've only seen two bucks all season, a spike opening day and a five point two weeks ago. Hoping today is my day! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Usually when you hear that BLAAH sound it's a good shot. Maybe it veered off left or right after that last blood, and hopefully tipped over Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm not so I didn't even want to check the forum today [emoji35]. I'm jealous Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I did that a couple years ago so I only climbed about 8'. I killed a nice buck that morning! I realize it wasn't smart to even go 8' without it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ok I do the same thing. I thought you meant you use a lifeline that's attached at ground level and hunting height and slid your tether up it as you climbed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

WNY have you got a source for the lines and Prussik line? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

$70 at Buck and Doe. I typically shoot four deer that would get expensive if I had to take them in every time. Besides, like most of you I really enjoy doing it myself. Especially now that my kids are 12 and I have a vacuum sealing staff! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The "teeth" are on the bottom. I thought maybe you do that on purpose as those steps rip my hands up especially when it's cold Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Another disappointing rut for me, two years in a row that I've had no activity. I'm making some changes. I've got Friday yet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
